  • Hello! In this video, we start off in Soufriere in the south of Dominica for some freediving training on the platform down there. We hike the first segment of the Waitukubili trail and then say goodbye as we sail down to Martinique. In Martinique, we visit parts of the island we haven't seen yet, enjoy some of the hussle and bussle that the island has to offer (compared to sleepy Dominica) and we head up North for a few days to explore the jungle up there. We visit the impressive JM Rhum distillery and come back to Navika where we do more freediving with our friends. Then we scratch our plans and sail away to Martinique to the next place... wonder where that could be?!

We started our journey in the South of France, and sailed around the Mediterranean for 2 years before sailing across the Atlantic at the beginning of 2022. Now we're in the Caribbean and who knows where the wind will blow us to next! Follow along as we document the highs and lows of our life on the water and share the incredible places we get to visit.

Excellent, you found a place you loved, left because of obligations, and headed right back. When you stopped on your run to check in Alex, you looked stunning, absolutely glowing with health. Congratulations on both of you hitting your PB in free diving.

Not sure if anybody has mentioned this before but the translation into English of Navika Sailing is The Habit Sailing. The word Navik in Bulgarian means habit and Navika literally means The Habit. How did you guys come up with the name? It is very original and I just recently subscribed and love your vids.

Hey Vlad! Someone mentioned this to us before as well, we didn't realise it meant that in Bulgarian when we named her that but I quite like it. We named her Navika as it means Sailor in old Pali/Sanskrit! But Habit also sounds cool

@@NavikaSailing it’s interesting how the same word has two different meanings in different languages. Bulgarian language is quiet old. Before we came up with the Cyrillic alphabet we used the Glagolitic alphabet which was very similar to the Celtic. Here is how you write Navika in Bulgarian - Навика 😀

Just plain excellent! I think "island time" has taken over with your stay there. Dominica is so beautiful and layed back in comparison to Martinique. Sad to see this video end and can't wait for the next one!
