so far this is the only horror channel that puts a lot of effort in sound design, and the voice artists are all pretty damn good and recorded clearly. awesome production CTFDN
First, let me say the amount of talent on my twisted little fairy tale is mind boggling. Everyone from cast to production to (and especially) music composer went above and beyond the call. These guys rocked it HARD. Second, Trailer Park Boys is NOT the only pop culture reference seeded within this tale. A special "No-Prize" to those who find them all! Third, if you're really into minutiae run the names of the three cops through Google translator. It'll either make you smile or groan. Fourth, (and most importantly) THANK YOU to all who continue to support my mental leakage - it means more to me than I can express in words. Please help support Chilling Tales For Dark Nights as they have more of my stories in the queue and only through continued support of viewers can they funnel my dark thoughts directly into your ear holes!
We love us some full productions! THIS is the kind of project we all love working on! THANK YOU, @mrcreepypasta for contributing to this project! And David Cummings of the NoSleep Podcast! And our own very talented Otis Jiry, Jeff Clement, Steve Taylor and Jesse Cornett! And Brandon Boone on the jazzy keys!
Please make "the curious case of Goldie and her bears" and Detective Matthew Prosser can tell us about his stay at the guest house of Officer Locks!! This channel has some of the best narrators!! I'm obsessed with Chilling Tales For Dark Nights!!
Thank you to the hundreds of people who have decided to support us by becoming patrons this past week. It's people like you that make us excited to work on these projects. The extra funding each month will help us to continue producing full productions like this! THANK YOU, EVERYBODY! Bless you all. If you haven't supported us check, please take a look at our Patrons Tour and see what you're missing, and consider supporting us, and get all sorts of awesome downloads in exchange for your support! www.chillingtalesfordarknights.com/tour/
Ah i am so relieved people did step up to help your awesome project and keep it alive. I watched the video and felt bad, since i am not able to contribute financially with my own situation, but its nice to see others who are able, do help
I love where the story went towards the end. All the pieces didn't fit until then and I absolutely loved it! Great read and great story! Keep up the awesome work!!!
I cannot praise this production enough, such immaculate attention to detail. This had such a Sin City feel to it. Thank you to everyone involved in this video, your hard work doesn't go unnoticed. I will be sure to go to your website when I am paid next month, anything to keep this wonderful, one of a kind channel and website up and running. Again, thank you!
+Holly Anne Without help, it may be a while before something like this is released again. Brandon Boone alone is worth his weight in gold (our composer).
wow, the A-Team knocks another one out of the park... nicely done, thank you. ... some one mentioned it has a "Sin City" feel to it, to me it's more like a modern version of the old radio crime dramas of the 40's "he was built like an oak with a crew cut, good guy, street smart, dead..." classic 40's dialogue
+Stacey Shoemaker Thank you for the compliment! As an avid reader of Mickey Spillane in my youth, I always admired his no-nonsense prose. This retelling of a classic fairy tale seemed the perfect opportunity to do so. And since Frank Miller's "Sin City" series was heavily influenced by 40's noir writers then everybody's right. ;)
"Do I feel like a sellout? If a sellout is someone who puts high value on their work, then sure. If a sellout is someone who recognizes that money frees up your time to work on non-paying passion projects, awesome. If a sellout is someone who loves what they do, but also wants to make a living at it, then yeah." - Anna Akana (mic.com/articles/120021/this-you-tube-star-turned-the-tables-on-everyone-calling-her-a-sellout#.k2YZN0N7o) (th-cam.com/video/Rgd30_JiK24/w-d-xo.html)
Chilling Tales for Dαrk Nights See I like this. If someone is trying to make their craft into their job it is only right... I remember being self employed it is no fun working to survive and not covering bills... I expect nobody to work for free :)
I've listened to so many stories on TH-cam, and I've never commented on any of them, but I really feel the need to say that this reading is absolutely incredible, everyone involved should be really proud. This is exactly the way to get support, keep up the amazing work guys, I'll be donating soon!
I love story tellers your the best you take me out of this world and all its drama at least 4 a brief moment i can close my eyes and visualise another place
Delightfully corny. Loved it. I think people still crave content like this but we have trouble4 taking it seriously now. When cheese is paired with self-awareness, you get writing like this. Again, this ruled.
I love these full stories. Very exciting to listen to. And I know I speak for all of your fans when I say that "We would love to see much more of these!"
This was a superb job crew! I didn't grow up in the radio theatre days but I've come to love it through all of you. I think its funny that the trailer park is Sunnyvale (trailer park boys TV show). I'm sorry to hear you all having problems and I hope it makes a u turn soon. I plan on becoming a patron soon, hopefully more do as well. This kind of quality shouldn't be shut down!
+Ethan Waggoner Please do become a patron when you're able. It's incredible the difference a few thousand people can make with small monthly donations! goo.gl/wy8B78
I love this channel so much because of the stories that come with it. The readers are amazing and truly pull me into the world they are trying to paint. Once I get some money to spare I will definitely be sending support your way.
I am extremely late finding your channel, but I gotta tell you, this is fantastic! The writing, the voice acting, the music, the sfx etc, all just incredible, and not enough of it!!! Think you!
Love the old school, detective feel. The music and narrator was perfect. It was like listening to a Sin City story. And all the voice actor cameos where great. Wish there where more stories like this one. Need more creepy, detective stories.
+burke herrick Have you become a patron yet? This system doesn't work if everyone waits for everyone else to help. Even $1 month adds up if 2,000 people donate in that amount.
This voice on this narrator is more suited for a classic detective story than any I've heard in a while; it's got a Bigby Wolf vibe to it. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic.
My god, the amount of effort you lot put into your recordings outshines any other channel I've ever come across. I love the normal channels available, don't get me wrong, but when I see yours upload it's genuinely exciting. Thanks for going the extra mile!
+alice cutter Thank you. If you haven't yet, please become a patron and help us to produce more like the one you just heard: www.chillingtalesfordarknights.com/support-us/
Perfect voice for 'Noir' performance! Aye, you've to keep Spike Edmond on a short leash and nor give him hard words like 'Lisbon' (Libson indeed!) Lol...I'm juat the little ego gremlin, sole purpose is to keep people from coming across (that's AcrosT Spike!) all narcissistic lmao!
+Tam Wallace Honestly, I just wanted Mr. Cummings in a role. He was gracious enough to agree! As a matter of fact, this was my dream cast for this story. I couldn't have been more pleased with the A+ talent that breathed life into LoLo. If you can keep a secret, I have another story I wrote with his voice in mind. With the hectic nature of production and scheduling, I'm hoping the tale I wrote will come to life soon.
My workplace was destroyed in a flood, so it is absolutely impossible for me to become a patron at the moment. :( But I'm telling everyone I know who likes their horror about you, and as soon as I'm financially stable I will become a member faster than blinking. I absolutely love your stuff, you've kept me company on many a lonely evening. I wish you fellows the very best of luck in securing enough funding to carry on with this brilliant work.
I love Radio theater. Its something different on story telling with using sound affects an such and allowing the listening to use their head to picture the scene out. I can almost picture it all in my head like a movie. Not to mention I listen to this stuff when I draw/colour a picture XD
My family just got broken up but you guys and all of your narrators are my faves when i find my feet ill give twenty bucks a month hell id like to start narrating because i lov reading and the whole voice acting thing
+Christy Rollins Thanks, Christy. You can send an audition anytime to auditons (at) chillingtalesfordarknights (dot) com. But right now, funding is really what we need. We're trying to get creative since folks aren't coming through for us.

+Chilling Tales For Dark Nights Really dug the trailer park boys reference XDD
+Chilling Tales For Dark Nights I love you all. Great work!
This story is a badass piece of noir horror. And the voices and soundtrack are perfect. Great stuff! And what a badass protagonist.
Please make "the curious case of Goldie and her bears" and Detective Matthew Prosser can tell us about his stay at the guest house of Officer Locks!! This channel has some of the best narrators!! I'm obsessed with Chilling Tales For Dark Nights!!
loving the wise guy voice.
Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes to this writing style! More like this please!
Loved Mr Jiry's character as usual too!

I loveeee it! Such a nice change from the normal creepypasta story. Great job by both author & narrator.
Wow! Just wow! Excellent!
Excellent stories, what a happy surprise to hear familiar voices from NoSleep and Mr Otis Jiry himself!
I cannot praise this production enough, such immaculate attention to detail. This had such a Sin City feel to it. Thank you to everyone involved in this video, your hard work doesn't go unnoticed. One of the best of the “full cast” detective dramas!
Need more of Detective Prasa's adventures His narration reminds me of Mike Hammer, Joe Friday, and Spencer for Hire.
Awesome!!! Always a great job.

I can see that. :D
You all have great writers, and scary voice actors! Excellent work all around! I have felt chills go down my spine listening to CTFDN stories.
Some of the lines and analogies in this were pure gold! Great story!
This video should have over 1mill views. Easily one of my favorite stories.
I love it when you guys take a character and do a group narration
I love the old time feel of this narration. Perfect! ;)
Loved this...really like the collaboration of awesomely talented voice actors doing these stories...really awesome everyone

+Ace Wu You can use money to buy things or pay for activities that can bring you and others happiness.
Chilling Tales - True Scary Stories & Creepypastas money doesnt create happiness but it surely prevents depression

A Trailer Park Boys reference AND an appearance from MrCreepyPasta?? This just keeps getting better
David Cummings is still my all time favorite, his voice just always makes these stories so fascinating to me.
His last name accurately describes the sensation I experience when his gravely voice makes sweet love to my eardrums.
+Tam Wallace Honestly, I just wanted Mr. Cummings in a role. He was gracious enough to agree!

No "creepy pasta/reddit" juvenile garbage here.
