(4K) Cleared for Takeoff! - Planespotting, Watching Airplanes at O'Hare Airport

- A full sunny afternoon of runway 28R departures filmed from the hill. Definitely worth heading out for a thumbnail worthy shot of the Air Belgium A330neo. He was operating flights for British Airways for most of the summer as a wet lease. Royal Jordanian usually doesn't depart mid afternoons around 3, but this plane had a mechanical issue a couple days earlier and was now ready to depart back to Jordan. Speaking of issue, a United flight to LAX departed runway 22L and had to suddenly cancel its takeoff. I'm not quite sure the reason, but he got towed right by the hill about an hour later.

Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Great catches, nice video, liked! Really like the United retro shot!
Many thanks!
747 is still one of the most impressive planes out there
Yes
Nice compilation video and catches! Your videos are always so clear. Great job! If I have the opportunity to visit Chicago, definitely want to go plane spotting there.
Thank you very much! You definitely should as we have a nice variety of passenger and cargo airlines. Summer is the best time to go when the weather’s best and we get the most traffic.
Excellent Video!
Thank you very much!
Windy City Chicago . Love that vintage United ✈️ 😎. Is Sabena belgian airlines. Now Air Belgium 🇧🇪
Yep and Sabena used to regularly fly here in the late 90s.
Excellent video compilation and stability.. ❤️❤️
Thanks a ton!
Super Cool!
Thanks!
Superb captures my friend!
Thank you so much!

Looks great! Super job my friend and subscriber! You’re great! Keep up the awesome work!
Cheers 🥂 Also at 1:15 is that N774UA United’s first B777 and the oldest flying 777 on EARTH! She’s only the SECOND 777 EVER MADE! 😅 Also at 19:14 as beautiful as the A330-900neo and that Air Belgium 🇧🇪 livery is, does anyone watching this video remember SABENA Airlines of Belgium 🇧🇪 or am I just too old now! 😂 🤔 I’d be curious to know…
Caleb’s Aviation
P.S. I fly the Lufthansa B747-8 and hopefully the B747-400 to and from FRA from O’Hare and I’m really hoping I get D-ABYT the retro 747 I can hope! Fingers crossed 🤞
Thank you! Yeah I believe Sabena had flights to O’Hare back in the late 90s. Also, there’s a chance you’ll get the retro 747-8 or the 747-400. The -400 has been flying mainly early in the week.
@@ohareplanespotting I know, I’ve been looking at the schedules online. I would like to fly both of the 744 and 748 to and from O’Hare because I want to take off both types of 747 while I still can, but I do not want to have to go somewhere else, if the 747 400 is not flying to O’Hare this winter I will likely have to go to either New York JFK or Toronto Pearson YYZ 🇨🇦
Yeah also O’Hare has some really nice action during the summer for planespotting. Best time of year to spot in terms of weather and variety.
wow
thanks
Out of curiosity, when are you going to get some more overhead shots? Don't get me wrong, this video is absolutely amazing. However, overhead shots have better sound quality. Also don't, forget to keep up the great work, bruv.
Thank you! In the past weeks I’ve been diversifying spotting locations so I do have some overhead arrivals coming. I also managed to get low, loud, direct overhead departures at LHR which will be released later this summer!
@ohareplanespotting wait you actually went to London Heathrow? I am honestly a little jealous. I bet you saw a lot of roaring 777-200ERs with RRT-800s. I can't wait to see that video.
Yeah, but mostly arrivals. I did get this one roaring American overhead however.
Hello, mate! Do you have coordinates for where you spotted? I’ve been looking but nothing good.
41.96287° N, 87.93453° W
@@ohareplanespotting thanks mate!
United 777 200 nose wheel gear had slow response
Yeah I notice that specific one does. One of the older ones.
