I like the fact that the frittside stays down there in the zone well with a slow float. When I throw other flat sides, if I kill the bait for a second or 2 the bait is already almost subsurface. And yes the frittside bills are pretty fragile.
The bills on the frittsides are fine, the bill breaks from you guys slapping it on the surface trying to remove grass off of it ,instead of just pulling it off with your hands, I've own some since they been out,and I don't slap it on the surface
I haven’t fished the Berkley Frittside yet, but my Spro Little Johns with the circuit board lips have not failed me yet. Also I have several Rapala Ott’s Garage flat side crank baits and they have performed well also.
I don't use them because of all the complaints I've heard from them breaking. I use wood cranks you also have to be careful with wood slapping them on the water to get the weeds off is a big no no . Wood moves completey different in the water and looks way more realistic than plastic cranks . I'll never stop using wood cranks. But I use plastic to megabass cranks. I will not use cheap cranks because they just end breaking. I would rather use the John crews spro cranks because they are made better. Most of the time I'm using wood.
@@af4od02 I use black label too and rapala ph makes nice baits too a little pricey though and I like black label paint jobs better than ph . Bagley makes some nice baits but they are a lot cheaper in price. Bagley has a wire through construction you might like more durable. anyway God bless you and your family your pal fisherman Mike from Missouri.
I've broken 3 so far. If you splash it in the water to get grass off, no good. I've broken 2 off hitting rocks on the bank. I've broken 1 hitting big rocks under water on Lake Lawtonka. 😢
I break them all the time! I love them because they catch fish but the bills are cheap! By far, the least durable crank on the market! I would love to see you do a video on adding the foil to them vs buying them.
man thats such a bummer it appears the feedback is all the same: great crankbait horrible durability. absolutely! great feedback. stay tuned ill definitely make a video foiling some baits.
Yes sir, bill's break easy. I got 3 hanging from my fishing bench in my basement. I broke 1 by hitting a log trying cast by log close I could. Hit it head on, and broke in half.
I broke the bill off 3 different Berkeley crankbait models in the same day. Slapping the water and cranking in rocks . The bill breaks or just comes off completely
not sure yet there are a lot of custom painters/ lure makers out there so I would have to do some research and keep the price around what i see. honestly probably go a little lower to be as fair as possible.
Yes the first cast with one
Broke the bill off 2 of them and quit throwing them
I’ll buy some
bummer, they catch fish but not worth it if you only catch a couple before it breaks
I'm also willing to purchase several. Thakns
I am for buying some from you. Nice video , thanks.
Happens to the Rapala DT series as well
bummer
I would buy a few.
I’d buy some.
I'll buy a few

I completely agree I think that is part of the reason it is such an effective bait.

@@user-bq9tw8lt5l I've never broken a bill my lake doesn't have grass, I just know people that do
I’ll take a couple foiled fritsides
Good vid bro!
I would buy a few for sure.
I'm interested

I 100% agree. the circuit board lips are my favorite for sure. wish they put them on the frittside!

@@michaelloucks4448 I also like balsa. PH custom baits and Black Label baits.

Love the fritside and those are some juicy mods to add!
thank you!
Yes i broke one off just throwing it out there very cold water though.

completely agreed. they are not durable at all BUT they work... wish they made them more robust.
Your foiled flat sides look good. I would buy some. That foil looks exactly like a gizzard shad.
I have broken countless Frittside baits. Those bills on them are fragile like fine china. I hate to throw them, but they absolutely catch bass.

🍺I’ll take two foiled baits and pay for shipping and your time.🤠
Cameron, You can add my name to the list. Thanks

truly unfortunate they are fish catchers just not durable at all.

dang thats horrible ive unfortunately had the same experience.
Just curious, but how much would you charge due filing a frittside?

Sounds good
Man I love the Frittside but I have broken off several in instances where it shouldn’t have happen.
thats a bummer but good to know im not the only one.
I would buy a fee
I have been disappointed in QC of even the Rapala DD series! Countless cranks have the bills come off. I end up losing the body. $$$$$$$
man thats a bummer. it sounds like it happens even more than i thought!
Hell yes,chinese junk.but,catches fish.11 dollars each,worth 5.
I've had 2 bills break off on first cast with the frittside..they catch fish if they stay together
wow thats tough. hopefully Berkley at least replaced those. well said.
