I think Alien: Romulus should have been released on Hulu just like Prey, in my humble opinion. I just think that both the Alien and Predator franchises have gone stale and need a dire refresh. Until the writing is better, it makes more sense to release these films on streaming services, rather than take a risk on the cinema.
Totally agree. What do you think would be something refreshing in terms of writing for this franchise? I know for a starter better characters, but what else do you think would reinvigorate these franchises?
Well, as you said, better characters, for one. The other part is keeping the story scenario in an average environment, such as a small office building or apartment. As for the Predator franchise, the same logic applies, mainly having better characters. And while I like strong female characters, this thing about the girl boss type needs to end. On a side note, check out the two-part short film, Alien: Infestation, as well as the anime-style horror short, Alien: Monday. You won't be disappointed!
