Hi. I have been worried for a long time and got panic attacked. My passport been expired years ago and my pr card expired for 3 yrs.. am I still good to stay what should i do? Ty
Can a person (being inside Canada) meet obligation requirement (730 days) after his/her PR card expiry and apply for renewal, once met requirement obligations?
Hello, i be cam a permanent resident in mai 2008 and i live canda in 30 juin 2008, in order to work in my country. Now i want to know if i have any possibility to applay for nenew my PR.thanks
Hello, I already have had my PR status. I stayed in canada only for 6 months from october 2013 till April 2014. My PR expired in november 2018. Please take in consideration that i had also certificat de selection du Quebec in 2011. do I have chances to re-enter canada and get a new PR. As, I have a proof that I stayed in Morocco to take care of my mother as she was sick. I have medical papers as a proof. Having said that, some suggested that i can travel to the US and cross the canadian border by a commercial vehicle. If that is true?!! Assuming that i will enter by US border to canada. Should i fill any immigration papers before checking in?!! What other documents i should bring with me?!? Will i be allowed to enter the border with an expired Canadian Permanent resident card by driving through a us border ? Please help me and guide me through.
Will I be a PR and can I renew PR Card? If I not met 730 days of PR obligation on the day of PR Card expiry, but living inside Canada and meet 730 days after couple of months time of my PR Card expiry?
Hello please answer if you read this and know about it I have pr and I was away for 5 years due to my family was forcing me to leave and lie to by it’s impossible to come back due to my leaving so I left not on my choice so can I still come back, if so if the migration here this story by I was forced to leave are they gonna accept my renewal pr card in hearing, in your experience please share your thoughts on matters thank you
Pls help me. My sister is applying for Canadian Citizenship. However her PR card expired about 9 months already. She never left Canada for 11 years. My question is, will an expired PR card affect Canadian Citizenship application?
She doesn't need a valid PR Card to apply for Canadian citizenship. However, it would really speed up the application because, without one, they will have to do more investigating of her application. So she's actually better off renewing her PR Card before she applies for citizenship, unless she's okay with the citizenship application taking a while.
Helo,I just wanna ask about my situation now,my PR will expire in 14 months from now, Im bit confused what Im gonna do first,if I will process to renew my PR or apply for canadian citizenship, but the process time of citizenship is take a year or more thats why im confused what if my PR expire and my citizenship still processing, but I dont have plan to travel anywhere.waiting for your answer thank you.
Someone is outside Canada with an expired PR but have a valid Travel document for refugees ... Will she be able to re-enter Canada with only the Travel document??
Hi! My parents being Permanent residents flew abroad when I was 14 years old...our pr card obviously is expired., can I apply for a travel document? I want to go back to Canada , I am now 34 years old
If you had applied when you were in your late teens or early 20s, you might have been able to apply through Humanitarian and Compassionate Grounds, but I don't think that would be a viable option now.
@@MsPame01 You may have to immigrate the normal way so first you would have to renounce your PR then you would have to immigrate as a skilled worker or get a job from a Canadian employer.
Immigroup Inc yes I understand...so you suggest this is the correct way? I mean I actually think that it’s going to save me time and money not to even apply for a PRTD.

Hello Sir I could not meet the residency obligations of pr card in 2011.And since then I am living in my home country.will I be able to renew my pr card
If you return to Canada before your PR Card expires, and you're admitted, you can renew it when you meet the residence requirement. If it's expired, you are out of luck.
i know Im asking randomly but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I was stupid lost the login password. I would love any tricks you can give me!
@Enrique Uriel thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
My wife PR has expired in 2018. She has not visited canada since 2013. She retired 2 years back from her teaching job in mumbai. Self is a Canadian citizen retired and staying in india since 2014. My son canada citizen since 2014 lives and works in Toronto. What are best opinions for wife to go to canada? 1. Renew PR as she was staying overseas with Canadian citizen? Get PRTD - to travel to canada and apply for PR? Or 2. Spousal visa ? 3. Parent super visa ? 4. Visitor visa?
What should I do if my PR is expired and my passport also expired? I have work experience but I’m not working since I decided to go to private college. And now I’m new graduate and it’s hard to find a job. Thanks
You can renew your passport. However if you still have the expired passport from when you landed in Canada, and some valid Canadian ID, you can apply with those and your expired PR Card for a new one.
Can I live on Pr for lifetime in Canada and what's the process? Should I have to live in Canada every 2 years out of 5 years? And than after renewing the pr card I have to again repeat this process 2 out of 5 years of stay in canada to maintain my pr status and so on if I don't want Canadian citizenship? And also can I come back to india and can do any job here after completing my 2 years out of 5 years of Canadian pr to maintain my status?
Yes, you can, if you meet the residence requirement. That's not what the government wants you to do, but you can do it legally. You should be aware that if you spend exactly 2 years in Canada, every time you renew your PR Card application will be delayed as they confirm that you were actually in Canada for those two years.
@@immigroup but if I spend 2 years out of 5 years every time after renewing my PR card in Canada......... means First 2 years out of 5 years and then again after renewing my PR card again spend 2 years out of 5 years......... Means a total of 4 years out of 10 years than there is any delay of renewal of PR card when I apply it for next time......means for next 11 to 15 years ? As I have met their residency obligation's everytime.
@@bestbuddy7912 Yeah, there absolutely will be a delay. Every time or nearly every time. 2 years out of 5 is the bare minimum legal requirement to maintain your status. Permanent residence is supposed to be permanent residence in Canada. So, if you barely meet the legal requirement for every 5 year period, the person reviewing your file is going to want to confirm that you are actually meeting the legal requirement. Depending upon what proofs you provide, this could take sometime. I believe the standard is about double the usual processing time.
So, if their cards are expired they have basically two choices: They can renounce their PR and come visit you OR They can travel to the US and attempt to enter Canada by private vehicle (i.e. car) with their COPRs/Records of Landing. (There is a chance they could lose their status trying to enter Canada, if they have been abroad this long.)
I am planning to move to canada with family while there is one year remaining in my PR card expiry. Will i face any difficulty while entering Canada. Should i wait for 2 years afterward then apply for renewal. What are the chances that they will refuse me to enter in Canada or not renew my pr card. Appreciate support.
You might. There's really no predicting it. You might be allowed in without an issue. You might be allowed in with a lecture. Or there is a slim possibility of something worse happening, depending upon how many days you have already been in Canada. Once you are in Canada, you should wait at least two years before applying for a new card.
I am an Indian citizen and I'm doing a job in singapore as a analyst, also I got my Canada PR status confirmation. so please suggest me how can I get my canada PR ? or Is there any chance to work in singapore for a few years like 2-3 years ?
Did you receive your Confirmation of Permanent Residence? If you did, you need to travel to Canada before it expires in order to validate it and gain PR status. If you do not land in Canada before it expires, you will have to apply all over again.
Thank you very much for your guidance. Also, before it expires i will take it necessary steps & gain my PR status. Is there a any chance to work in Singapore for a 2-3 years after getting my Canada PR status ? Or Is there any impact on my Canada PR status ?
There is a residence requirement of 2 years residing in Canada out of every 5 years, and the date is calculated based upon your PR Card expiry. (You'll get your PR Card about 1-2 months after you land.)
Hi! My parents being Permanent residents flew abroad when I was 14 years old...our pr card obviously is expired., can I apply for a travel document? I want to go back to Canada , I am now 34 years old

If you're currently in Canada, that's no big deal.
