    Hi Tom - love the “dual stepped modulation” patch 👌

    A polyphonic digital complex VCO is a strong, strong proposition.

    I must not get another oscillator.

    This is a lovely little case too.

    Wow, a great video and loving that Ring mod electro synth section - a touch of Seinfeld bass and so funky! Nicely done Tom (and the ALM team, of course!)

    Instant vibe with me - seems like a Lone machine! (like much of ALM's stuff, honestly)
    This thing is especially well laid-out in such a tight package, to boot. 🎯

    Every time I watch one of your videos the module goes straight into my Modular Grid rack. 🙏

    This looks very interesting. I have a Make Noise Telharmonic. Kind of makes me think if it, although this looks like it’s less enigmatic and easier to get your head around.

    Very good decision from ALM that they gave the module to your hands to demonstrate it, awesome cool done 👏😃

    You certainly know how to sell a module. Does indeed sound like a Casio CZ with added bonus of being able to modulate.

    Great video Tom, some cool sounding examples! Unless I missed it, you didn't mention that it's also available in VCV Rack. It's not free, but 15 $USD which is just over a tenner in the UK. Worth a try for the cost of a few pints and being digital it sounds exactly the same as the hardware. Also, software purchases are much easier to hide from your other half 😂
    I bought it yesterday and did a quick patch on my channel, if anyone wants to hear the virtual version. Cheers!

    Module seems really cool, tight package for a dual osc. Also Mega-Tang, I missed that, seems awesome

    • @goonfish
      @goonfish 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah, Mega-Tang has always been one of those final stereo mixdown hubs I've always admired & wanted, but never justified the space (even though getting similar functionality elsewhere would be difficult without exceeding its HP...).
      Just wish they'd come out with a slim expander for CV over the Panning, and to bump that mono-send into stereo!

    • @TomChurchill
      @TomChurchill  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Cheers! Yeah, Mega Tang is great - pairs perfectly with MFX and is an all-round great small mixer for a modular 👍

    Love your demos! Was just about to buy a Sofia after watching that demo and then saw this. They seem similar in that they both have multiple sound source outs, and both can sound filtery, syncy, wavefoldy without external modules. Is there one you think is better for unique bass sounds, and also for ambient drones? I’m planning to pair whichever I get with an Ryk Vectorwave (which incidentally is the only reason I’m not looking at Odessa).

    • @TomChurchill
      @TomChurchill  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good question! There is some crossover sonically - I'd say the main differences are that Sofia is analogue and has a few more modulation options; but Cizzle has the chord/unison mode which might be more useful for ambient drones. Usual answer: get both! :)

    • @wavebase2873
      @wavebase2873 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the reply! I was actually going to say I probably won’t use the chord mode much (didn’t like chord mode on Plaits either) but would definitely use the separate v/oct in. Don’t have space for both so will think on it a bit. Sofia from what I’ve heard sounds lovely. But Cizzle seems to have some incredible magic to it, especially for evolving arps. Tough choice made tougher by these awesome demos!

    Well great. How do I make 16hp of space for this one?
    Great video, and quite a unique module. Seems to be full of sonic potential.

    I took a look at the manual, but it doesn't explain (clearly) how you control the chords get different types. Maybe you can clarify, since you have the module, how this works?
    Thanks in advance.

    • @TomChurchill
      @TomChurchill  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You set the chord type with the knob or via the CV input. It’s similar to how Plaits works in chord mode. Not sure how else to explain it other than what I’ve done in the video already - is there something else you want to know?

    Awesome sounds from the demo at the beginning. If you would have said to me "phase distortion osc" I would have been like, meh, but this video has piqued my interest.
