You owe it to yourself to give that stray dog a chance. Working dogs can be found anywhere. I had an Explosives Detection dog come out of a pound once... Part Springer Spangle and whatever and way small but had all the essential drives (2% across all breeds) and was trainable. Named him Lucky and put him to work. He was absolutely a nuts on working machine too. So you owe it to test that dogs drives and see if he can or will Hunt, sometimes those ones feel like they got to work to repay the favor and he could turnout better than any papered or bred dog.
He doesn't owe anything. Quit trying to guilt trip or gaslight him into something he doesn't want to do. It's forceful BS. He said he is looking for a home for the stray dog and that should be the end of it. Your emotions don't Trump his life. I can't stand people who guilt trip. He saved the dog which is more than most would do. Grow up, it's not always about your silly little feelings. Seriously pressuring someone because you're an overly emotional person is pathetic.
Look Farmer Boi... how about you quit putting your nose in places you aint smart enough to figure it. Your keyboard tuff guy stupidity says all that needs to be said. But because you probably didn't complete the 6th grade, let me spell it out for you.... It has nothing to do about "Feelings" knob... its about Money! A working dog costs money... usually good money. I don't know alot about Bay Dogs or tracking Dogs but they have to be at least $1,200-$3,000 easy. Working Dogs - post 9/11 used to be around $10,000 -$18,000 (Bomb dogs/Narc Dogs etc). its only about 2% of dogs that actually have the drives and talent to be a working dog - that is like you playing softball on your sister's team and then going Pro Baseball. If you can find a working dog thats a stray thats a big time savings... My trainer used to look in the pounds all along the west coast for working dogs - he would get them for free or pay a $75/$100 train them up... and sell them for $10,000-$18,000 depending on the services they got trained for. I have had Elk Guides who also own Hog dogs and easily pay $1,200-$2,000 for a good bay or catch dog and if they don't work out they put a bullet in them and move on - obviously no F@!ks given and no feelings hurt. That's what I am saying and I am pretty sure it made sense to him why he "Owes" it to himself or the dog to check it out. besides it doesn't look like its a stretch that they dog "might " have some working dog in him. If he didn't check it out and see if it wouldn't work - he is leaving Money on the table - that's the "Owe", if he doesn't check it out... he is leaving good money on the table - that's all I meant because I know the estimated value and work it takes to create working dogs, working dogs are NOT pets nor are they treated like pets. So keep shucking your peanuts instead of joining a peanut gallery who doesn't know what you speak of.
@@FarmerFpvhave you gotten off your soap box yet? He literally just said give the dog an opportunity to see what he can do. He said, sometimes they want to please their owners. It's called domestication
I was raised a foxhounder from Southern Illinois. When I was a kid , my dad found a hound he wanted. The owner said he would sell him if dad would take this Black and Tan/walker pup in the deal. The pup was probably 10 months old. My dad had to promise he would try the pup. Turns out he was one of the best field trial hounds we had . He placed no less than 5th place in every trial he was entered. He would run about anything.
Man, you have some great videos. Also, your dogs come to you and stay with you unlike most any other dogs. I’ve never seen do that before. Keep up the good work and the great videos would love to help with y’all.
Isn't it bad 4 the bear, they're over-dangered animals! Pls, don't hurt themmm! (Like if you think Stray dog gets a welcomed home & carrying home whit love!❤
Hi Kirk, I’m enjoying your videos big time. When you say Southern WV. The first thing I think of is the Hatfield McCoy Trails. We have been visiting the trails since 2001, a great place to ride. I live in Virginia Beach, just retired last April. I’m glad I came across your videos, love hunting Deer in NY and PA
Great video man. Both you guys always have great videos. That 2nd bear acted like a sow that had cubs somewhere in a tree maybe not but kinda acted like it
Stray dog is so cute wonder where he came from he would be such a good dog for whoever the next owner is I'm hoping to get a hound in the future keep up the good work Kirk
@@KirkPrice My experience with some plot hounds are that they are a little on the gritty side and a little ill…some I have seen are down right mean…but those he had were very mild mannered and got along great with the other dogs. That’s the only way I will have it. Love watching your videos and I appreciate you and everything you do for your subscribers and community. Thanks bro 😎
Because they don’t want it to be a crazy far drag back to the truck or the bear isn’t comfortable enough in the tree so they won’t have enough times to tie the dogs up and get a good shot before the bear comes down.
Great question. I feel like it’s safer keeping them in the truck box instead of the side by side while hauling a trailer. I’ve hauled them in the sxs box before but just prefer the truck box
Wow. I can't believe the gaslighting and guilt training from some commenters. Saying you owe the dog a chance. You saved the dog but that is never enough for overly emotional people. Stick with your guns. If you're looking to give him away give him away if not keep him. Don't let anyone gaslight you or guilt trip you into doing so. I can't stand people who do that for their own selfish reasons. I'd take him if I didn't already have a bunch of dogs. I hope my wife doesn't see this video cause she will gaslight me into getting him. Only wives are allowed to guilt trip. lol.
If you are a true Kirk Price fan like an comment
He’s got the spirit of the wild inside of him.
Ya he dose and has some of the best dogs out there
Okay I commented
I am so glad I found his channel.

Thank you!
Hey Kirk you are the goat along with Kendall Gray and Braydon Price
Thank you!
Absolutely loving this content!
What is the difference between the two dog breeds?
Plotts and Walkers.
How do you come up with such good dog names 😂😂😂
Beautiful tree dogs
That was some great footage!
The true sound of walkers barking and on the tree.
When is you’re harness coming back in stock
Would you mind doing a quick video about what kind of stuff you carry in your chest harness? I just got mine a couple of weeks ago! It's awesome.
It depends on the situation but most of the time I carry extra shells, batteries, knife, tape, and lighter
@KirkPrice awesome, thanks Kirk!
Love seeing it
Thank you!
Great video guys love watching ❤
What kinda hounds are those black ones??
Hey Kirk were do you get your leads?

Stray Dog looks good Kirk.
Thank you!
you need to come out to central AZ and try some dry ground lion catch and release with me
Great bear footage !
What stock of walker hounds that you’re hunting ?
Maybe you can keep him and turn him into a good bear dog cause he looks like he could be a good bear dog
Another great video keep them up, can’t wait for the next one
Thank you!
Kirk where did you get your 35 from
Let's Gooo baby 🤪🤪
Which state is this?
What is Zack's dogs breed
They look like a plot and black and tan cross or may be a possible black cur…not exactly sure…but they got it done 👍
Plotts

if you have a clear shot and plenty of time to shoot in the first tree why do you make the bear tree 2 or 3 more times before taking the shot?
Because they don’t want it to be a crazy far drag back to the truck or the bear isn’t comfortable enough in the tree so they won’t have enough times to tie the dogs up and get a good shot before the bear comes down.
Love, ding ding❤❤😂😂
What is the name of this hunting dog breed? In Vietnam I don't have it
how old is he?
How many dogs do you have?
are you alowwed to hunt during the night
How much dogs do you have?
8 hunting dogs
Wow😃
Is stray dog still up for grabs
What kind of dogs do you and your friend use?
can you do a video on your honda pioneer? how do you like the new shocks? I'm thinking about getting the 1000-5 trail
The new shocks are a must. You’ll be happy with it but the stock machine definitely needs the shocks upgraded unless it comes with FOX.
Would love to try bear hunting with dogs! If you are ever down in NC we have plenty of bear on our lease that we need taken care of.
Great video btw!
Kirk quick question. If you have a dog box on the side by side then why put one on the truck too if you can just carry them in the side by side?
Great question. I feel like it’s safer keeping them in the truck box instead of the side by side while hauling a trailer. I’ve hauled them in the sxs box before but just prefer the truck box
@@KirkPrice gotcha
