hi i do have an issue with my 1998 volkswagen passat 1.8T B5 the car start then shuts off instantly sometime it's just cranking. How can you help me I don't have any programming tools but I know how to solder, and upon my research I've come across this immobilizer emulator device that you will just solder it on the wiring pins of the instrument cluster gauge im about to recieve the the emulator by nextweek upon arrival I'm gonna install it and hope it will disable the immobilizer and on Will permanently resolve the starting issue issue
Does this only work with diesels cars or petrol cars also? Also were you able to compare to original file with immo on to the one with immo off to see where the immo off was written?
Hey Yes you can immo off gas ecus as well procedure depends on which ecu And yea u can definitely look at the file with a hex editor and see where the changes were made
@@ERAutomotive Thanx, I couldn't get any version of VagTester to communicate with the ecu using both drivers (believe it doesn't open the port for some reason) ... I'll try using the Hex interface to see if it corrects the problem, tho the blue one does work with vag-com lite which technically should work with VagTester

Makes it easier to swap in a different ecu into the car Or for swaps since typically the swap car wouldn’t have the rest of the parts required for fully functioning immobilizer

My car audi a3 2002. year was stolen. I found and returned the car, but now the immobilizer light flashes constantly. The car can start with any key. The immo light flashes all the time while the engine is running. How do I fix this?
I allready have bin file. I try to do immo off with edc 15. when I open the bin file with ec15 FIN and Immo parts emty, KM and Login 0(zero), Immo status ON. than I push Off and calccheck and save . The saved file is 0KB. What is the problem?

The immo will still be active in the instrument cluster and when it dosen't detect the right signal from the key the immo light will flash, but the ECU ignores the signal from the cluster and the engine stays running. Sorry no fix for the light. Other than covering it or removing the bulb.
I turned immo off on my 2002 golf tdi, with this process. Engine starts and runs fine, but I now get a check engine light for engine block by immobilizer. Does anyone know what i have to do to fix my new problem? Has anyone experienced a check engine light for immo after immo off programming? Or do i just have to deal with the check engine light on all the time. If i erase the code it sets right back on the next start.
I think my problem was the TCM loosing signal from the ECU when programming and the TCM was setting DTC's. Cleared all DTC's and test drove. So far so good. Thanks for the info.

Will this work with a B5 RS4? Have to remove cluster with KM for one with MPH but the new cluster doesn’t have immobilizer.

If it’s the original cluster you won’t have that message

I had that yesterday, but I tried programming 2 keys and only had one on hand. Once I tried again with 1 Key it went away. Try reprogramming the key.
