I have a rule after locking my two babies in the car in their child safety seats in Texas 100 degree heat. "Never get out of the car without taking the key with you or without rolling down a window." I have the 2006 Chevrolet trailblazer 4.2l i6 LS 4wd in the exact same color. I just hit 400,000 miles. Today it's replacing the front wheel hubs, tie rods, front brake rotors and pads. Tomorrow it's replacing the driver door lock actuator. It's always something with these older cars. Thanks for the video.
I found your video by googling. So yay! My Trailblazer did the same thing when I tried to hit the unlock via breaking in. Someone said I activated the antilock system. I’m not sure. Thank you for this video. I did the big roll down window. lol I’ll be at the pick n pull on Monday. *Edit. I’m in Ohio. 😊

Thanks for the video Nathan; Live in southeast PA. Original owner of an '08 TB. Back glass issues. Right side defroster contact fell off. Had it soldered by the dealer three times over the years. No more metal on the glass after it fell off three times so I tried the epoxy. Did that three times. It would hold until the summer then fall off on a hot day. Did without the defroster for a couple years. Just spent some cash on the front suspension so I spent more on a new back glass.... gotta love TBs & GM engineering.

Great video just traded for a Trailblazer that needs the window replaced. Previous owner did the same thing and broke that window to get in. Just for anyone else that locks the keys in their vehicle it is a lot cheaper to break a door handle and open it. Thanks again for a simple video.

This a helpful video. I have an 05 trailblazer. Woke this morning getting ready go to work. See a kitten in my window lead me to two conclusions my idiot brother in law was in my Blazer cat jumped in pressed on the locks or he petty and locked the door only cause he knows my outside door lock is broken. Manual locks work, had no choice but bust in the same side window you replaced in this video to get my door open to get to work. Figured I'd look on TH-cam first see if a do it yourself replacement video on instead of scheduling a Safelite window do it and probably cost me $100 and up for them to do it. This will save me money do myself. Thanks.
as someone that has 2 TB and have replaced 4 windows because I got locked out. Even if you get a non-security key made its a good investmentand only about $3. I found that sometimes the older truck will lock if you slam the door too hard. the last time before the spare keys I broke the rear window and got a replacement for $20.

So I got locked out of my 02 Envoy at a state park, and I had no option but to break some glass. I picked the passenger right rear "vent" window. Unfortunately, when I reached my hand in and unlocked the door it did nothing. Im guessing the security system disabled the manual lock. So I bashed out the main window and crawled in to grab my keys that were in the back. Iv'e replaced the window motor on the same door, so I know how to get that apart. Found the glass on ebay and amazon for a total about 100 for both. Hopefully replacing the main window is not a big deal. I called safelite and they wanted almost a grand. Im not sure about the vent glass being in all the rubber or just the glass. Im guessing that assembly needs to be out first before the main window can be installed? Ill be using your video for guidance, thank you.
I put a new solenoid on it & now it jus clicks when I attempt to start it up but when I bypass it, it'll turn over but won't start. Please help with something to try to get it going. Thanks for your time & have a blessed day.

2 years ago i had to replace the big one next to the door or back side window. I was mowing and not paying attention mowed over rocks. Yea you know it broke the window. But did find glass on ebay and purchased sealer from Amazon. The sealer cost more then the glass go figure butTurned out great.
I carry an extra key in my Beautiful I get one I don't have the top on it is just a flat key key without the black on top of itop of it and I carried in my wallet
