- This is the moment a Ukrainian sharpshooter took out three Russians. During the battle for Klishchiivka, a town to the south of Bakhmut. The sniper was part of Ukraine’s feared 3rd Assault Brigade. And was taking cover in a destroyed building during the battle. First-person video shows how a squad of Russians ran past his hideout. He was able to take two of them out with just a few shots of his rifle. The third tried to double back on himself, but was too slow. An additional flurry of bullets sent the man tumbling to the ground. Ukraine captured Klishchiivka last month following heavy fighting. It is located on strategic high ground to the south of Bakhmut. Troops are now pushing further to the east and taking more territory. In the hope of surrounding Bahkmut and the Russians stationed there.

When i watch this video all i see is people killing people. The reality of war is sad. All of this for what some changes on a map? The higher ups involved should be the ones fighting and risking their lives. No one deserves to be a pawn in this game but the pigs at the top creating the conflict.

Sorry to be pedantic, but this is combat firefight, not sharp shooting.
The distance is very close for rifle fire, and it's a basic assault rifle, not a sniper rifle.
I'm not diminishing the soldier, he is obviously experienced at combat which you can safely say takes more nerve than sniping - shooting straight while in the line of fire and staying calm is extraordinarily difficult.
Make no mistake, this is great combat footage. But sharp shooting, it is not.
You clearly have no experience. Many platoons besides having 1 sniper or none. Will have 1-2 sharpshooters per squad.
You clearly do not understand the difference between a sharpshooter & sniper.
Sharpshooters are right up there with the rest of the squad & platoon. Typically sharpshooters are the better shooters in the squad & platoon & have a setup for more accurate & longer distance fire.
With modern aiming systems. There is not as much distinction between sharpshooters as the lowest level infantryman has optics nowadays.
Though sharpshooters typically do have better optics.
Just like the difference between squad automatic weapons & platoon light machine guns.
Every squad will have automatic rifle man & sharpshooters, grenade launcher, etc.
While sniper & light machine guns are at platoon level. To be placed to assist the whole platoon or specific squad.

While a sniper uses either a sniper rifle or a DMR.
it doesn't say he is "sharpshooting" anywhere, it says he is a sharpshooter. From his rifle, that is pretty evidently the case. A sharpshooter doesn't magically lose their title and role the moment they get within a certain range of the enemy

I feel bad for everybody involved, but this entire war could have been avoided if ukraine was denied possibly of entry into NATO, or if we let russia join when they asked to.

@ing5 well matters are rarely this simple, history is complex and both sides always have some truth to what they are writing in their history books, but yes basically: Ukraine should have given up their independence and joined Russia, or at least maintained neutrality. if you know the history of Ukraine and Russia, you would know that at one point Kyiv was the capital of Russia, historically Ukraine belonged to Russia for hundreds of years longer than it was independent. If you like the idea of Native Americans having their stolen land returned to them, by that logic Ukraine is land stolen from Russia when the USSR collapsed. Ukraine is nearly 50% Russian decedents yet in 2019 Ukraine actually outlawed speaking Russian in public, they overtly discriminate against Russians within the past decade as they gravitate toward NATO membership. it has been common knowledge for decades as well that Ukraine is a money laundering and human trafik ing capitol of the world, with a shockingly corrupt government. the propaganda has us seeing this as Ukrainian people and Russian people, but literally 45 years ago everybody in Ukraine were called "Russians." the battle is the "Russians" that are pro western ideology and want to be Ukraine, and the Russians that want to be Russian and maintain their traditions/culture/values.
as for NATO expansion, ask the internet "why was NATO created?" and you will understand why Russia is not a fan of NATO. NATO was designed to be opposition to the USSR and when USSR collapsed, NATO became outdated and pointless, it was then repurposed to basically antagonize and destabilize Russia. you can analyze the history and data, and/or look at trends or even conspiracy theories as to why the west basically hates & sabotages every chance at better relations with Russia.

It is not just time with the weapon, it is combat experience and having nerves of steel in real combat where your life is constantly at risk. To be this smooth and effective under brutal pressure, over a year in combat and real rifle skills as well. This isn't X Box.

Sharpshooters usually have 7.62 rifles with a range to 800m.
And snipers can operate even .50cal rifles to even 1.5+ km.
I see a lot of people call themselves snipers in the military and they use .308 scars.

There a three possibilities: one, that this is simply a game, possibly a very advanced version of CounterStrike with no hud overlay. Or, it is a VR simulation using real footage and audio recordings overlaid to give a more 'personal & realistic experience'.
