I used the Lamborghini Murciealago and won by 9 seconds with 1 pit stop. Sports Hard tires, 50/50 torque split. Racing air filter, Racing (slotted discs), racing pads, brake controller. Power restrictor 88%, fully customized diff. Handbrake if you feel like you need it for the last turn before the long straight. Fuel map 1 until you get to 190 on the big straight. Then fuel map 6 at the end. I think I did fuel map 3 on the twisty bits. Just got to keep an eye on fuel. Pitted at the end of lap 5. Great video you did and loved it.

I've heard the Lambo is a very good way to go for this challenge!

Loved the commentary. Thoroughly enjoyed all the way through, even as someone who doesn’t play the game. Well done Blayney ✌️

Thanks for the video! Not an easy race, but I really enjoy figuring out how to make progress, trying different cars and tunes. Started from finishing P16 with Alpine A110, but progressed up to finishing P2 now with Audi TTS. My strategy is to take a mid-weight car, add ballast to adjust the weight distribution, max downforce for fast turns and get as much power as possible within 600pp. This is very different from my regular way of playing Gran Turismo with less powerful but lighter cars.

Hi! It is fun trying different cars and strategies on this one! I first tried my trusty Mitsubishi GTO but I was using a lot of fuel to keep up. I then tried an A110 as well! I managed top 5 I think but the RR nature of the car I found it hard not to make any contact with the barriers. Decided to go 4WD and the R34 makes for a really good race. I've heard either the Huracan or Aventador make this a fairly easy race... but where's the fun in that!

@@BlayneyPS I meant the modern MR Alpine A110 (2017), though really love the old one. What is interesting in your race is that the GT-R that you use is relatively light and not that powerful. Also, it has low downforce, but the lap times are good. Maybe, I'll give my Alpine another try with the experience that I got.

@@stepan.poluianov oh yes sorry I'm talking about the modern A110 too, I meant MR!
Yeah I think the reason this strategy works is the car is kind to the tyres so the no stop is still fast enough, you lose maybe 2 seconds on the main straight but the middle sector you can gain most of it back right until the last lap or 2 where its dry and the AI is quicker. Let me know how you get on with the A110!

@@BlayneyPS So, I tried different options for the race. I did Audi TTS and A110 with sport hard tyres and no pitstop. Unfortunately, this does not work because I have to conserve fuel and run on ECU maps 3-4. The lap times were 2:19-2:20, which is not fast enough to win. If I go for 1 pitstop (it takes about 25-30 seconds, -2.5 seconds per lap needed to compensate), Audi at 460hp and sport soft does laps at 2:14, and this is comparable with the leader.
What I spotted in your setup is low aero. So I tuned the downforce of my Audi from 120/220 to 20/70 and changed tyres to sport medium, this gave me some pp to rise the power (up to 496 hp) and reduce ballast. Surprisingly, I don't lose much in fast corners, but now I easily do 310 km/h at the straight and my lap times are about 2:13-2:14. I think, this is enough to win the race (tried once, but one penalty made me P2).
Thanks for tipping with your tune!

With Honda RA272 '65. 12 laps without changing tires or refueling. All race map 1. You win easy.!
