I understand where you’re coming from, there does need to be an element of strategy. But there’s 50 items in the game and 5 slots. So there’s almost too much strategy and not enough freedom. Especially to carry the “noobier” items, which sweats wouldn’t typically carry. something like a shield bubble for example. Almost no one carries that, not because it’s not good, but bc it’s not gonna be selected over an impulse or sniper. Theres just no space to carry that the entire game because you might not even use it. Especially if there’s an option for mythic grapplers and so on. So we end up with decent items in the game which barely any one uses and it’s wasteful. But yes the game does need to maintain an element of decision making and strategy it it were to come in. So epic would need to make it how they like.
@@KINGELIJAH but the pros dont carry a shield bubble because it’s underwhelming. Adding an additional slot means most people will just grab more shockwaves or another AR. The better solution is a less congested lootpool which features balanced weapons that are all niche. This way there is a specific loadout for everyone and not just a one size fits all loadout. Something that is similar to this is chapter 2s lootpool which features not many items but every item has a weakness. The burst AR is extremely good when starting an engagement and punishing out of position opponents but it is terrible at applying pressure which is what the scar is decent at. The best pressure in the game is an SMG but it has a short range meaning its more of a side arm for a shotgun. However the pistol is actually really good at applying pressure from close or far with a high fire rate which rivals the scar. However its biggest weakness is its magazine size meaning its not consistent when fighting more than one enemy at a time. It also means you have a whole lot of downtime which can allow for enemies to fight back. Chapter 5s lootpoop is bad because all the ARs have a similar fire rate and damage meaning you will just pick the one with the best stats. Its like picking between a purple or legendary weapon, they both do the same thing just one does it better than the other. The meta was a striker AR, gatekeeper, movement, fizz and another healing item or sniper. These items were just the best in their field and the only room for decision making is which mobility and which miscellaneous item. If we added another slot players would likely just take a second gatekeeper to negate the poor magazine / reload time or more medkits to survive heal off. The bad noobie weapons still wouldnt be carried and just increase the RNG of the game due to you only having 6 shockwaves but someone else has 12!
what if (kinda like medallions in c5s1) bosses could give you a item which gives you an extra inventory slot. also, to make sure people don't get like 10 inventory slots each boss would have a different type of inventory slot (meds only, utility only, mythic only etc.) that you could choose from
The reason why they won't is the same reason they haven't made a new build peace yet it's because of the controller players, they would be more disadvantaged when trying to scroll through there weapons and they do not have enough binds/buttons in order to keep up. however I know a good idea that could help a little since a lot of people these days carry double heals they should add a dedicated healing slot that lets you carry two different types of heals. that would help a lot. Because the game is a battle royal which means you need to heal up a lot and in the old days one slot was enough but now it isn't. They should add this and maybe a utility slot because a hand grenade is not worth carrying over a gun anyways so this makes a lot more sense.
Yea exactly, it would be a great addition to have them. I did mention in the last few minutes of the video how they could implement it and I do say with similarly how you said. With a med or utility
