Church is another song where you see a lot of sustains from Haruka. That song has a ton of soul, I hope it gets here someday (I might do it myself when possible). Great reaction as always
Funny how you mention soul!! Church is one song that speaks to my soul! I can feel the story behind the attack on Guernica by the Germans thru the music! I go the church a lot
I knew you would be amazed by Miyu’s thumb sweep technique. When I watch him play that 4 string instead of his usual 7 string, it feels like a toy in his hands 😂
All these 3 musicians are amazing. After the little “break” they took with their last year’s anime cover album, I’m sure they will come back with some awesome new instrumental songs to surpass the magnificent “Guernica”.

Great reaction, I recommend some of their live in studio stuff, like: 《church》,《gunfire》,《then&now》and《stars》, their studio live is raw but great.
What can I say about Hal-Ca! She was about 16 here! She has become my favorite guitarist! Kinda Steve Vai and Buckethead!! This girl has the speed of Michael Schenker!! Asterism is my favorite three piece progressive band!! Always a pleasure the watch and hear your reactions!

Yes, they are Superstars, all 3 of them. And together they form a group of stars, which is what ASTERISM means.

Try their Live In Studio sessions - HD visuals and HQ audio and a sublime Prog Metal selection of songs. The bassist plays a 7 string throughout - and boy does he get some incredible sounds from it - but all 3 members get to show off their incredible talents...even the drummer!
I found this band on Amuse website. First of all, I'm happy Amuse didn't block their live video. In the description on the website, they were directly impacted by Covid-19. And they are trying to be active nowadays. Interesting band, surprising talents.
So.... this is Mr Heretic's score for Asterism song so far :

Now I'm waiting for Mr Heretic score for other Asterism masterpieces like "Church", "Gun Fire", "Faced/Burned", "Light in The Darkness", "Midnight Hunter" etc..etc... and I heard Mr Heretic doesn't like soft/ballad song, I wonder what his feeling if he listen the softest song from Asterism "Yunagi".
In short I just want to him know that Asterism is an extremely creative song composer, each of their songs are distinct.

It's a fancam, so obviously not the best soundquality, but still very enjoyable in my opinion and it shows a different side of Hal-ca's guitar playing and the whole band in general with how bluesy that one obviously is. All of them also get a spotlight in that cover.

Asterism! I haven't heard seen that word except in astronomy conversations: asterism means a group of stars that is not one of the 88 official constellations. The most famous is the Big Dipper (an asterism), which is a part of the Great Bear (a constellation).

What Talent.
It´s a shame there is no footage from the studio version when the song was recorded for the album. Bootsy Collins produced it and played a 2nd bas for the studio version. And also a 2nd guitar was played by Buckethead.

In terms of my listening to the different pieces played by ASTERISM (live or studio), this trio is inseparable, none of the musicians goes without the other. Their osmosis is perfect... Moreover, they co-compose and arrange their songs together. At the time of this recording HAL-CA (g) is 16 years old, Miyu (b) 17 and Myo (d) 19... They have I believe, if they continue like this, time to do all their evidence. All they need (and deserve) is a quality professional production to complete the equation...

Au niveau de mon écoute des différents morceaux joués par ASTERISM (live ou studio), ce trio est indissociable, aucun des musicien ne va sans l'autre. Leur osmose est parfaite... This was a 1st timer for me to. Not my go to sounding music, but reminds lot of Arch Enemy from start.
Although this isn't my thing. I can appreciate their musicality. And I absolutely love to see more women rocking out. I also love to see metal take over the world🖤 Is this metal?🤔😆

As far as I understand, the author is impressed with Miyu the bass player, not quite impressed with Hal- Ca the guitar titan (it happens), and saddened by the undeservedly forgotten drummer Mio. I agree with all that, except for one BUT. Hal- Ca can't be one locomotive in all her projects. She's too young, which doesn't preclude her genius. But the fact that the drummer is neglected, I totally agree.
