    The BEST explanation ever. And this is going to be my "GO" to video/tutorial for any doubts or concerns I get. I've been cutting my husband's hair for about 3 years now and ALL I have learned has from barbers like you Matt that has a TH-cam channel. I started with Vick the Barber and I am stuck with 360 Jezzy, Bossio, You, both Perez, and many more that love so much!!

    Mattgiftedhands how i erase line between lever open and 1/16

    • @lebryonsonjohn6720
      @lebryonsonjohn6720 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Martina, just seen your comment so figured maybe I can be some help. Seen plenty of Matt's videos. The lever open is the same as a half guard(Wahl) or zero guard(Andis), which is the 1/16 guard. So lever open is 1/16. Best way to erase that line is to start with the 1/16 guard on, lever closed, and slowly open it up as you fade upward.

    Please answer this one, how do u blend the line from the no guard open lever into the #1 guard? It's so weird cause the no guard open lever is 2,5mm and the #1 guard is 3mm so it's only 0.5mm difference and still doesn't blend..i use the wahl magic clippers, please help me out. Thank you very much

  • @secondtake4436
    @secondtake4436 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    say if a guy had curly hair on top and wanted to keep the length but you dont know what number it is on top, what would be the highest guard you would use on the sides?

    • @franciscocharco2291
      @franciscocharco2291 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      barbers usually stop at 2 lever open and flick out at the hair not making a guideline and possibly go up to a 3 guard , or clipper over comb

      Jeffrey Frye you got to use the detachable cutter blade (ceramic or regular) and you have to move the stationary blade foward. Thats it! you should have no problems zero gaping the fast feeds

    • @charlestate1799
      @charlestate1799 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used the moving blade from any detachable blade that's at least a 1 or higher. if you do this you have to have the andis purple double magnetic guards. the single magnetic guards will keep the blade from moving to cut properly

      Sam H. Its not there for no reason buddy u probably left a barber that was doing u justice . Hes just stretching the skin so he can use the corners of the blade a crucial part for blending. If u would have let ur barber known im sure he would've accommodate you by not resting his hand on ur head or using just a thumb to stretch the skin
