- Watch several groups of armoured engineering vehicles, including bridge layers, mine sweepers and diggers, and support vehicles deploying for major NATO Exercise Steadfast Defender.
First we see a Trojan Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers (AVRE) used to clear minefields, obstructions and hazards in the battlefield. This is followed by the Titan Armoured Vehicle Launcher Bridge (AVLB), used to launch bridges over gaps for tanks and other vehicles to pass over. These are followed by the Terrier Armoured Digger, also used to clear battlefields of obstacles and digging trenches, or slots for armoured vehicles to fit in. These were all transported by Westdijk on abnormal load trailers.
At 2:17 we see Alvis Unipowers transporting BR90 bridges, also used for laying bridges across gaps. Around these are Land Rover Truck Utility vehicles.
From 3:21 onwards it's mostly MAN Logistic Support Vehicles and Oshkosh Medium Equipment Transporters transporting engineeing equipment. This includes the pipe facine transported by Trojan and Terrier, and ploughs fitted to the front.
At 4:11 an Iveco Trekker transports a JCB digger. Several of these are seen in the vdieo. These diggers are not armoured like the Terriers are.
At 9:06 a convoy of MetCalfe Farm trucks transport four Mastiff Protected Patrol Vehicles. These are used to support engineers in their activites by escorting convoys and providing protection at engineering projects.
At 11:59 a Volvo G990 Grader is transported by MetCalfe Farms. These are used to smooth out ground, for laying roads.

I can imagine Metcalf Farms and the other hauliers submitting a quote to the MoD, thinking of a figure, adding a few noughts and multiplying it by ten! Good luck to them.
Westdijk in the UK to collect bridgelayers? I can't believe my eyes.
When we had Royal Engineer convoys in the 1950s,I never saw a civilian vehicle involved.
Apologies about this one, an error occurrd with the premiere.
It's fair! Bloopers happen to everybody. Had to cancel my premiere yesterday as well. Nice video as always, mate!
@@EifelBlaulichtTV 😠 🔫 It does!
@@EifelBlaulichtTVEB!!! Hey man!! What's up
Trojan, Titan and Terrier. Easy way to remember is: Terriers normally dig, so the one with the bucket on the front is a Terrier. Then TroJan has a “J” so is the one with the bucket on a grab arm, and TiTan, has a “ flat top from the double T”, and therefore carries the bridge. Hopefully in the next couple of years the BR90 will be replaced by the WFEL Dry Support Bridge mounted on and MAN 10x10
I've seen a C17 globe master and some sort of bomber fly over Warwickshire on several occasions the last couple of weeks, all at very low altitudes.
We get to see quite a lot of Metcalfe Farms and other hauliers on the move near where I live as we have RAF Lossiemouth airfield and the former RAF Kinloss bases now the 39 engineer regiment base just along the road. RAF Lossiemouth is also the home of the emergency airfield repair regiment known as the 2622 engineer squadron.
Loads of big boys toys at both bases.
Any chance for a good old british mergency vehicles vedio?
Erm... why is the British MOD paying a foreign company to transport vehicles?? There are plenty of heavy haulage firms in the UK that they should have used.
They are not, they are Dutch military vehicles be transported and escorted by Dutch haulage
Going to the docks for USSR?
