I don't agree with your interpretation of Acts 10:43, I believe remission mentioned here is for all sins, otherwise he would have mentioned past sins. Also even though peter wasn't finished, the Holy Spirit fell on them because they heard and believed what peter had already said, not what he was going to say unless you want to say that justification comes before faith, or that a person can receive the Holy Spirit before they believe the saving message.

Repent doesn't mean to turn from sin, it means to turn or change, which can be from anything to anything. Repent means change your mind and turn away from sin. John's gospel was written for already repented believers. That's why we have Matthew Mark and Luke that are full of Jesus and the disciples preaching repentance. Acts also includes the disciples and Paul preaching repentance.
