After 9 years of losing touch, I reunited with my friend from High School, (not knowing that he had a crush on me then.) When we saw each other again, it’s as if no time had gone by at all and we picked up where we left off. We have been married for 9 years now and share two kids. I’m a big believer in fate.
That's such a beautiful story! Thank you for sharing it with us. I hope I can find my other half like you someday. I wish you and your family an abundance of happiness! 💛
Cwayzums I reunited with one of my friends from childhood. He was 3 years older than me so I was kinda a little sister figure to him, but I had a massive crush on him as a kid. When I was about 17 we saw each other again. I was kinda nervous. When he walked in, we both got these huge dorky smiles and hugged, and it was like no time had passed at all. Just right back to being good friends. I have pretty bad social anxiety, yet when me and him reunited there was no social anxiety. Just as comfortable around him as I’d always been. It’s cool how that happens.
@@BMarie774 Aww that's a beautiful story. Thanks for sharing it. Funny you should say that you were a little sister figure to him, because my husband then was a "little boy" to me so I never looked at him "that way," but sure enough, time had gone by and he grew into this mature man that I quickly fell in love with. Time has a funny way with us sometimes and true friendships are meant to always be ignited through time.
@@cwayzums what does this comment have anything to do with the video? Not criticizing you but I’m genuinely curious what made you type out your love life in the comment section of a holocaust remembrance video 😂
@@yunggatz6638 Wow you really don’t see the connection here huh? That’s too bad. Well, let me explain why I shared my story. Obviously it has nothing to do with the holocaust, but more to do with a bond between two people and even though time has separated them, it is also through time that they have reunited. Their story is so beautiful that I felt compelled to share my own. After high school, my husband served in the U.S. Navy overseas as I went to college and I believe that the timing was perfect when we reunited again as he is now a veteran and we are raising our children together. Otherwise, a long distance relationship would probably not have worked out as we were also very young back then. My point is, timing is everything. My respect and love go out to all the victims (and their families) of the Holocaust and forgive me if I seem a little bit selfish in sharing my own story, but nowadays, we all need to read stories of love, encouragement and hope. I hope this explains it for you. Have a great day.
People who went through unimaginable things to get to have this sweet reunion. Makes me smile. They seemed so happy to have their friends in their lives again.
So glad they survived the war and found each other again!! Can hardly wait until they are able to meet in person and hug each other:) Really nice to hear a feel good story right now!
I'm thrilled to watch this. My father was a British officer working in the displaced persons camp in Klagenfort, Austria. My mother taught there. I was a baby cared for by a loving lady from the camp. So happy you found each other. Daddy died in Klagenfort in 1951
Ira's wife left the conversation...ouch. Such a deep connection to a very difficult time. I hope his wife left to give them some privacy rather than because she was hurt.
What a beautiful reminder that even in the appearing darkest times there is still sunny moments waiting to be experienced. Thank you so much for posting such a beautiful story.
Every day they live, every smile, reconnection, and (someday) hug, is just such a beautiful reminder that love is what triumphs. Hate doesn’t endure. It doesn’t win. Love does.
Wow! What a beautiful heartfelt story! I felt so much joy, happiness, & sadness, as well. My late father served in the US forces that liberated the concentration camps in Germany. My late mother who was Jewish was placed in a bomb factory and she met my father after the Nazis were defeated. The rest of her family persisted in a concentrated camp, it still is overwhelming to know what happened in my family.

Light of the world, shine on me
Love is the answer
Shine on us all, set us free
Love is the answer
Who knows why
Someday we all must die
We're all homeless boys and girls
And we are never heard
It's such a lonely, lonely, lonely world
People turn their heads
And walk on by
Tell me is it worth just another try
Light of the world, shine on me
Love is the answer
Shine on us all, set us free
Love is the answer
Tell me, are we alive
Or just a dying planet?
What are the chances?
Ask the man in your heart for the answers
And when you feel afraid

When you've lost your way

And when you're down and out
Love one another
And when your hopes run out
