I can see why people are tuned off by this comp. It doesn't fit into the current meta which emphasizes early to mid scaling and combat mobility. They lack AD overall and too late game oriented. Ashe and Soraka have good control and neutral game but riot has always been favoring high mobility assassins. Any front loaded high mobility assassin will be able to jump in and destroy Ashe and maybe even Soraka along with her without them being able to do anything about it because of their lack of mobility and instant CC unlike something like Cait and Nautilus. And a Nunu into Galio engage while being very strong, it requires that the river wards are cleared and both Nunu and Galio are well coordinated. Basically, this comp worked because the players realized and emphasized on their strength while mitigating their weakness. But of course, when you ask the AI for a comp, the AI understands that a comp means each champs must belong to their respective role and there must be some degrees of synergy with each other or the players won't have anything to work with. This comp for example depends entirely on the ability of Nunu and Galio to engage once they reach level 6 or both botlane and toplane will lose to a lane bully, a jungle assassin or a fast scaling bot duo which are quite common in the current meta.
This comp is way better than 90% of the team comps I get in solo q. Not sure how the AI thought galio, nunu, ashe didnt have strong engage... Also, ashe does a ton of dps if built with kraken slayer, and she has a team full of heals and peels. Also, teemo shrooms around objectives plus ashe vision can make it really easy to get early picks in objective fights. The team also has tons of waveclear to stall out the game if needed. And they scale decently. A much worse team comp Top: Quinn Jungle: Master Yi Mid: Zed Bot: Lucian Support: Soraka Zero cc throughout the entire team, so no engage, no disengage. All squishy as hell, so any engage/disengage will end quickly and probably not in their favor. All AD, so very easy to build defenses against. Bot lane/jungle synergy is non-existent. Yi and Soraka want to scale while Lucian wants/needs to win early. Yi will also struggle to counter early ganks top that will most definitely shut the quinn down. Any team can win, but it would be really hard with this team.
Exactly my thoughts... That teamcomp is crazy. If ashe gets the right itemisation not even a 8000 hp cho couldnt survive a properly executed stunlock for longer than a few seconds smh.... They have kiting power too. And great zoning tools. The damage distribution is a little bit ap heavy but this teamcomp requires you to play around ashe and teemo anyway. Teemo has the option to go ap/ad/onhit and even a hybrid of the tree and still be very effective etc.... My conclusion is the AI simply has no brain and would not stand a chance against humans :D
