Yup... Same for the T3, 01/W and most late 80's/early 90's synths. I had the same problems almost a decade ago with my T3, and MidiOx. The problem is those synths "communicate" very slowly and modern computers very fast. The transmission of data needs to be done very slowly or it will mess up the data on the receiving end.
The ".syx" files (or "System Exclusive" files) carry the Program/Combi/Global data, the ".mid" files carry the midi files, meaning the sequencer data (demo songs)

Managed to install the presets but they sound distorted. Tried different parameters from Sysex but still sounds distorted.

It was free. I dont remember where i found it but probably if you google it it will come up. But i didnt pay anything.
