We've truly enjoyed our time with Chill Town, despite the bugs and issues we've experienced. It can only get better from here, and once it's polished and ready for the 1.0 release, this will definitely be an instant favorite among the cozy crew. For now, we'll keep our eyes on it, and feel free to ask any questions you might have about it below, we'll be happy to answer!
I actually had taken this off my wishlist, but I just put it back on. I really do want a chill experience in this kind of game. So my main question is can you elaborate on time in the game. Are there any tasks that have to be done within a certain amount of time? Are shops only open during certain times? Are NPCs also time-specific as to when you can interact with them? Thank you!
There are no tasks restricted by time, no! Even the tasks from the task board don't have completion requirements to them, so from what we can see, there aren't any hard time limits. The town hall and grocery store both have working hours yes, but the NPCs that offer decorative items around the town seem to be vampires who don't sleep as they're always standing there and willing to sell you something. In terms of the physical time, it's a 24 hour day cycle, but you don't have a time that you'll pass out, and there are no food/energy bars in the game at this point in time so no need to stress about running out of energy / passing out. You can happily play the game from sunset to sunrise if you choose, or you can sleep and advance to the next morning. We imagine that the NPCs will eventually have a set time that they return to their living space or adopt other schedules throughout the week on varying days, but for now, they don't have that in place and you can access them whenever you'd like. A few of the non-shop NPCs are unavailable during evening hours (The Mayor & His Assistant), but in terms of purchasing stuff, nothing is restricted by the time of day. Town and house upgrades would be though since those are done through the mayor and his assistant.
@@thepillowfortgaming Thank you so much for elaborating! That sounds great, even if they do add evening hours for the NPCs, it sounds like it's all very open. Just the kind of game I'm looking for! So I look forward to it being more polished!
@@sarahreed-eurogamergirl Honestly, same! The only thing that put a damper on the experience was the bugs, so once it's a bit more polished, we expect it'll be a quick fan favorite of the genre!
Ty for this! We couldn't find any reference in the in-game guides to it, and only found the crafting encyclopedia on the phone, so it's good to know that!
@@jackifurer8369 to our knowledge, there are still quite a few issues, but it has been updated. Due to an altercation with the dev, we aren't playing or covering the game anymore. We attempted to submit genuine feedback to them and it was not well received, so we deemed it not worth our time to continue to play and attempt to assist them improve it 😞
It is not Steam Deck verified as of right now, no. That being said, it's highly likely that the 1.0 release will be, but it's still in Early Access for now

As for crafting: in your phone is just the crafting notebook. To craft things you'll need a workbench - you can find one in the Town Hall.

Have they updated the game and fixed the bugs yet? It's on sale right now!!
