Excellent first look. Much better than just an unboxing.

Nice overview. I hate box openings but I love this.

Thanks! I agree that the typical unboxing video doesn't offer a whole lot. One thing about them is that they're pretty easy to make which I think is part of the reason we get so many of them (and yes, I've done some of them too). But with this one I wanted to provide a little bit more than just seeing the components. Very happy to hear that people are enjoying this approach!

Your verdict then: is this game only worth it if you buy it with all the expansion? Besides that, i find the shrinking range box sizes a bit cramped.

I think base + carriers would be ideal for most. The base game is nice, and certainly playable, but the Carrier expansion is, imo, the best part of the game. The Subs are good too, but that's almost a separate game in itself. So it depends on whether you want to play with the submarines. Same for the Allies - it's nice, but if you're not interested in the other NATO forces, the base game + Carriers will be more than enough (it comes with some British ships & a Falklands scenario, as does the Carrier expansion).

I won’t waste my time and money on this stupid game. The game was designed as a money grab by requiring you to purchase extra expansion packs in order to play a complete game that includes naval aviation. The game itself plays on the arcade level, whereas Blue Water Navy and the older Victory Games “Fleet Series” gives you everything on a strategic level, with no expansion packs.
