    I’ve listen to the story several times about the soldier in the Middle East and his wife cheated on him… First several times I listen to it I had no problems with the story but something finally clicked… He says that he lost 35 pounds in one week… I’m not sure if you’re aware of this but people in the army are fairly lean… And if you’re stationed in the Middle East a place that is exceedingly hot you’re already going to be as lean as possible… Any. And if you actually lost 35 pounds in one week you would be in the hospital with some extremely serious medical problems… Which he didn’t list any of that in his post it his letter… So you know what they say… If one part of the story is bullshit… The entire story is bullshit… Makes me wonder if this person was over in the military and if he’s just claiming stolen valor…

    First story, about the speeding.
    Used to work in Arizona, USA. At that time, posted speed was 60mph, while common agreed speed was 70mph, even during the day. That's the background.
    I finished work around 2am that day, and drove home, ending up behind another car on the nearly empty freeway, only doing 60mph. Eh, that is the posted speed, and I'm not motivated enough to pass him. And since it turns out he lives in the same complex, I follow him home.
    "You know the unposted speed on the freeway is 70mph, right?" I call out.
    He turns to me. "If I did that, I'd be pulled over and fined."
    I look at him and finally note... he's black. And our Sheriff is a complete butt to everyone not white. I silently nod, and we parted ways.
    I was young, female, cute... and white. Pretty sure that's kept me out of trouble more than once.

    KCC, driving teacher here. Statistically, impeding traffic is WAY more dangerous than just letting them pass, because frustrated people do stupid and dangerous things. In fact, in most US states, you can receive a ticket for having 3 or more vehicles slowed behind you, EVEN IF YOU ARE GOING THE SPEED LIMIT, and there are often places specifically for you to pull over on single-lane roads to rectify that (ever seen a sign that says "SLOW VEHICLE PULL-OFF 500 FT"?). It is not your job to worry about other people's speed...the cops will do that.

    • @michaelcurran1885
      @michaelcurran1885 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree, I generally don't worry about someone else's speed. I usually run 5 over even while passing. I only use the PASSING lane to PASS and then move back over when safe to do so. This doesn't mean I cut someone off with their safe following distance. Even when I'm running late, I do not tailgate.

    • @michaelcurran1885
      @michaelcurran1885 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To continue. With that said, on a single lane road, I WILL begin lifting on the throttle to allow the d-bag to pass. I don't care about the excuse tailgating for ANY reason is not OK.

    That parking spot story reminded me of a fun fact, urine on a car radiator creates a smell that keeps on going till you replace it so look out for animals peeing on the front of your car. As a side note did you know that you can get an 8oz spray bottle for like $20 most places including Amazon?

    "unregistered firearm" isn't a crime, there is no law for it. In GA peer to peer sales is 100% legal, and there is no process to "register" said firearm. And a gun in a felons locker isn't possession either, any half ass lawyer could get that charge removed especially if it's "unregistered" Now if OP means he had any nfa guns, class 3, non serialized, etc I understand but otherwise it seems kinda made up.

Instead of a note I printed up some gift cetificates - 1 free office visit with Dr. Jack Kevorkian. (Look it up if you're too young to remember.) I don't think I ever saw a car I put one of those on in my spot a second time.

    As you said yourself, you call your children girlie. It's a normal way to address children. Addressing adults this way, makes one appear condescending, treating them as children, essentially belittling the women. of course, in a informal situation with close friends, it can be a term of endermeant, (which is what he would claim if pressed on why he does it), but it's an entirely different situation.

    Re: speeder/tailgaitor story. This happened in '91. Back then I drove 1.2L toyota tercel, with something like 45hp. I was moving out of state and was towing an open 5x8' trailer with everything I owned at the time. Most of the trip was driven in 2nd gear, at the redline, just under 50mph, speed limit was 55, with hazard flashers in the right lane. At one point an expensive car (jag?) flew past me doing probably 110mph. A couple of hours later, I see him pulled over by a cop. Another hour later, he flew past me going just as fast. Another hour or two later, I see him pulled over *again*. This time he was surrounded by 3 cop cars, and it was pretty clear he was going to spend the night in jail. The most amusing part was that at 110mph, he couldn't keep up with a car doing 45-48mph. I waved.

    I when, being tailgated, have a tendancy to crawl along at just below the speed limit, then i flick my fog lights on. They always then brake sharply, thinking i'm braking. It usually works. I also whilst working for BRITISH RAIL parked in the dedicated parking spot next to down sidings adjacent to shunters shed. I came back after a 12 hour turn, at about 10:30 to find myself completely boxed in with about a foot front and back. Well not being prepared to wait for hours to find who had boxed me in, i put car into Drive, in low and started to creep. I managed to nudge car in front and behind into the ones next to them, but the side effect of this was that the car behind me was left at an angle blocking the road, (which was a one-way street). After a 19 point turn i had enough room to move, so i left and went home to get some much needed sleep before next shift at 02:30 the next morning. When i got home i rang the local police station saying there was a car blocking the one-way street and that i had trouble getting past. Needless to say, i never got blocked in at that site again. This was in UK in 1980

    As a woman, I don't understand why being called "sweetheart" or "girlie" is a bad thing. I've had plenty of older men call me sweetheart, and they meant it as a complement. My grandma always calls me girlie, older female co workers do as well, and I call my niece girlie. Being called sweet, feminine, or a girl is not an insult to me.
    Tone of voice and intent is important too. You can call someone "ma'am" or "sir" and mean it as an insult.

    SD story: reminded me of a time a relative of my housemate tried to sell me a hot laptop. Playing with the laptop, it was obvious that it was a work computer. Housemate was *pissed*. I looked up the company and gave them a call "did you lose a laptop? " I returned it. Got a voicemail from the douche threating to kill me and I simply called the police, played them the message, and left it as just a report to be used later if he showed up again. How freakishly stupid do you have to be to leave such a message. Got a $130 reward from the company (twenty five years ago, about $250 dollars in today's money), and I never saw him again. I did hear of his later run-ins with the law. He was caught with 20+ lbs of cocaine trying to cross the border from Mexico. Another time he nearly killed a toddler with methadone he hadn't secured. He was the type who'd use methadone midweek and heroin on weekends. He went to jail for this.

    Biggest reason I will always get out of the way for a vehicle that is trying to speed and get somewhere quickly is when I was driving my mom to the ER (which due to a rural area is nearly an hour) and someone tried to force me to slow down by getting in the way until I switched to pass them in the lane going the other way. My mom was okay but it made me realize that you have no idea what going on in another car and should let people through.

    Story 1. You don't have to genuinely care about people to be a nurse. That is why you often find narcissists or those on the psychopathy spectrum.
    By being a nurse there is level of immediate unearned virtue. Thereafter, they have authority and access to high earning men. Then they have additional status.
    However, while nursing they can fake a caring attitude but they will slip and get the occasional complaint from patients and family and if supervisory a reputation for abusing junior staff.

(For reference, the Melbourne Football Club had the best defensive lineup in the AFL, conceding an average of about 65 points across the season, meaning that they won games without having the best forward offensive team. We won games by shutting the other team down, and moving the ball forward.
    If you wanna see this in action, watch the AFL Grand Final from Saturday. Even when we were at our worst, we only conceded about 8 goals (48 points) compared to us coming back and scoring 16 goals in the last 30 mins.

    Yeah anyone that clones a phone should be doing jail time. Do not care what suspicions they have or evidence they have about their partner. It is illegal and a disgusting breach of privacy.

    Recently I sold two separate videos of people who thought it'd be a good idea to play road rage games and somebody fired a gun through their window at them. In other words don't play stupid games the road is not a place for games if somebody wants to drive like an a hole it's not your responsibility to regulate them just move over let them pass and let them do whatever it is that they're doing all you're doing is making it worse so that they may possibly make even worse decisions putting your life and others lives in more danger. Grow up you're not a child anymore

    When someone tailgates me or has highloghts behind me I stick to speed limit and if they keep it up I start going slower.
    I have even got to drive 30 in a 70 Km/h before the moron decided to finally go to another lane.
    If I really have to go low I place the warning lights just so I can't be ticketed if any policeman notices and is not Ok on me going slow

    The daycare story: I'm not persuaded that OP is in the right here. The woman was running a business. Bringing the state into it is a low blow.

    i either drive a fun little awd sporty and fast kona, or our large garage logo'd ram. i've been driving south on the 400 toward toronto, had a 911 so far up the ram's ass(pun intended), i would only get brief glimpses of his roof when he'd back off slightly. if i hadn't seen him coming(weirdly cops in ontario don't use their sirens as well as lights unlike my native province) as often with checking my rear view often, i wouldn't have known he was even there until he was under my axle and there was no one in the other lane so they could have passed me. the kona is of course far lower, so when someone runs up my ass(ontario drivers are insane) and annoys me, i slow down... and then punch it. it usually gets my point across, that i am choosing to go at my speed, a hair below getting a ticket, and either pass me or back off. i never brake check, it's not worth the pain in my neck. i don't need waze, i do the parts runs so i know most of the spots the cops stalk lol.

    In the 10th story the army guy is just as bad or worse then the wife... (She fucked up and I don't have any issues with anything that happened to her after) The cloning her phone thing is a bit on the stalker/abusive/possessive side to me... So they both seem pretty bad to me.

    So for the parking story, op figured damagingand defacing a bmw was better than getting it towed? Bmw owner could have sued or retaliated in kind and put permanent stickers all over ops windows or slash ops tires.

      I'd say BMW owner worries a lot more about damage to their car than the Falcon owner. Also, Aussies are not sue happy.
