      That is what I am doing. I might try doing detail for the HQ, but there is only six figures in an HQ and not a hundred.

    I think there's probably a lot of correct information out there, Standardization was probably really tough. We have my grandpapa's US WWII dress uniforms and the colors on the same pieces dont match! You would think that 2 dress jackets would be the same color, but their olive drab dye job is easily different.

  • @colddrake80

    Nice little video you've got here. One thing I chose not to do is paint the metal bits metallic. Rifles were blued or painted to protect the metal and mitigate the shine. Even rifles from that era today can be found with most of their bluing intact. So I paint my gun bits black, The same goes for E-tools although now that I think of it I believe German E-tools were painted a shade of green. They got dinged up a lot but that just won't show a the 15mm scale. Just a difference of opinion. Thanks.

    For the final uniform highlight, what ratio of German Fieldgrey to Green Grey is about right?

  • @colddrake80
    @colddrake80 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The answer is "depends". If your paint is flowing into the details of the model it's too thin. I don't really feel the need to dilute Vallejo paints but I often dry brush or just use a soft touch with the brush. Hope that clarifies things a bit for you.
    Anyone else want to throw in their two cents?

  • @StevenMacLauchlan
    @StevenMacLauchlan 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    As the description says, they are Vallejo paints. As to where to find them... that depends on your country. Try googling perhaps?

    • @zirrian

      The uncovered helmets doesn't have those small...bumps on the side. Usually 2 on each side. Helmets without covers are totally smooth.

  • @wickysoldier

    dont think it matters. It comes with 2 platoons, A platoon command and 6 rifle/MG teams. I have some old panzer grens which came with a 2man mortar but I think thats an upgrade. The models are really nice, very detailed.

  • @LazzurusMan

    • @HeadHunterSix

      To my understanding, the only difference was that Panzer Grenadiers were mechanized infantry (i.e., they rode around in Hanomags to accompany the Panzer Divisions). Equipment was the same.

    • @TheGoGoat91

      you can use any kind of color of primer, as long as it is matt, the idea behind a primer is that the acrylic paints stick to the miniature

    You shouldn't have to much of a hard time.. if you have a very thin spray paint then I guess you could, but I would suggest Rubbing Alcohol or simple Green and rub the paint off.

    I have to say, I'm somewhat frustrated with this video, the paint scheme in the video is totally different from the painting guide in Grey Wolf.
    I painted mine according to the Grey Wolf paint scheme, I think they turned out fairly well. The hooded smocks I left grey, they were reverse able to my knowledge, with either grey or white on one side, and camo on the other, i may go back and camouflage the smocks now

      The cost to have that done to a high standard would be prohibitively high. There are people who do custom painting of armies, but they aren't cheap if they're good.
