Cleaning Flow frames the easy, fast way

- It seems that bees put a coating of wax each time they use a flow frame. I found that after using for a few seasons, Flow frames become so burdened with wax that the flow mechanism stop functioning. I found that a quick and easy way to restore the frames is to dip them in hot water. Beeswax melts at around 150F. To protect the plastic from softening, don't boil but keep the water around 170.

I'll remember this as I've recently gotten a new flow hive 2
Great content and super happy to see you upload another great content! I had to do a double take on this video! Always a pleasure to get some nice information about flow hive stuff!!!
Thank you so much 👍I just started and was not looking forward to disassemble these frames. But I just love working this type of hive
Very impressive, thanks for sharing.
BRILLIANT !
Great idea. I wonder if a solar extractor would work too.
Really bee careful with the heat. They'll melt if it gets too hot. The temp is easier to control in a bath dip.
