@@surajit.biswas. Well, only God (Allah) knows. But, god is the most merciful. Muslims are taught from the Quran to respect every religion. Deeds are measured with beliefs, so non believers will also be measured with how much good deeds and bad deeds they've done. But in general, only god knows.

@@surajit.biswas. if an individual does not want to believe there is a creator/God or denial in a negative way, they have no chance. However, an individual does believe there is a god but unsure on what is right or wrong God (Allah) is merciful.

Alhamdulillah, thank you for the explanation but I had a thought- question that came to mind. Isn't "Everyone born Muslim" ? Subhanallah I can only imagine why they say Allah is the most merciful . But that is my question.

If we think of it like that, yes everyone born Muslim, the one who submits to God, obviously it's also because we were born thanks to God
It's the shirk that differ people, those who doesn't believe in oneness of God and doesn't follow His way
Because of this though actually I also like to think that all human beings will return to heaven, but everyone's time in hell are different

Question: if a believer in God, is not a Muslim, but is a good person, drinks alcohol and doesnt pray five times a day, will they go straight to hell, how does that compare to a Muslim, who is not a good person, but follows the rules?

if you didnt hear the message of islam you won’t go to hell but if you heard of it but in this day and age there is no human that hasn’t heard of islam. So not following it makes you destined to hellfire even if u do good or u r a good person in this life your deeds will be like a mirage in the here after and will be in vain.
if a muslim does bad things he will be held accountable for it if he repented and didnt do the mistakes again before death if god wills his or her sins will be forgiven
Because God is the most gracious most merciful. This is where grave punishment and the bridge siraat takes place for the muslims who are not good people but following the obligation and allah know’s best

I can see similarities with Catholicism...salvation by works and a purgatory type place in between heaven and hell, where people can do intercessory prayer for those that have passed in order to move to into Heaven.

Probably because pagan Roman Catholicism is not the Christianity of Christ... back then they were called. the Pharisees...
