Thank you for watching! The brand is WANDRD, and it isn't 100% waterproof - but, it is water/weather resistant. They've held up really well over the last year we've had them - and, we've put them through A LOT!
Hi guys! I have a DJI drone as well, but I can't imagine travelling to Asia with it. I'd love to do drone shots of the upcoming Everest trek, but I imagine that it is forbidden there. Besides it would be a great hassle. Sorry you guys had so many travel difficulties. I'll be flying through Frankfurt, Germany and Delhi, India to get to Kathmandu. I just hope I don't run into the kind of problems you experienced. One side note, I have difficulty hearing you at times. Maybe it is the background noise? I don't know. I know other TH-camrs that use wireless mics. They make all the difference. I have one with my video camera and it's amazing. Anyway, I love watching your travels! Rishi's mom is adorable!
Hey, Mike! Thank you so much - Rishi's mom is absolutely adorable :) And, our fingers are crossed that you don't face any major travel issues on your way to EBC! I will say - facing roadblocks while traveling sucks, but you do get really good at troubleshooting and figuring your way out of bad situations with enough experience. Re sound - thanks for mentioning it. It's definitely been a pain point for a while. We bought a wireless mic a while back and have been using it on and off. For some reason, the quality of the sound we've gotten from it has been weird and inconsistent. And, there's been a lot of user error as well (ie. clipping it on in a spot that clothing rubs on it making the audio unusable). So, sometimes we use the audio from it and sometimes we default back to the audio from our camera. Definitely something we need to figure out for future shoots, but I'll try to be cognizant of if more when I'm editing existing footage.
@@kineticpassports yeah, I first noticed the sound issue a lot on the EBC trek videos. I'm sure wind is a real problem there. I'll have to deal with that as well. I had my own travel hiccup 2 years ago when my wife and I took a cruise up the Norwegian coast from Bergen to Kirkenes in far north Norway. Just before we got there we were informed that the pilots for SAS went on strike and we would not be able to fly back to Oslo to catch our flight home. Thankfully, we booked through the cruise line (Hurtigruten) and they had to arrange our return travel. So they put us on a bus and drove us through Finland to the nearest other airport that could get us to Helsinki where our new flights home were waiting for us. Well, here we were in Rovaniemi, at the airport, there is only one flight on the entire departures board. Our flight. We get to the check in counter and discover...no tickets are waiting for us. They had made the reservation but failed to buy the tickets. Our seats were released and the flight was full. Eek! So, to make a long story longer, the agent told us we could take a train to Helsinki that was leaving in 20 minutes. By some miracle, a taxi (the only taxi in town I think) drove up, we flagged him down and he raced us to the train station. Made the train, spent a delightful and unexpected day in Helsinki and got an upgrade to business class for the flight back on Finnair! Wow! So, I can identify with some of what you went through. But getting drilled by customs sounds like a nightmare!
@@mikekofMorrison yeah - the wind is tough. A lot of our audio didn't turn out great because of it (even with the mic). Wow, what a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Going from finding out the tickets you thought you had weren't there to getting an upgrade to business class. I would take that over the 500 euro compensation we got any day 😜It's also the best part of traveling - you never know what you're going to get
Thanks, Zimm - we love hearing from you! So, 99% of what we buy winds up getting gifted to friends and family when we make our way back to India and USA (which we've done a few times over this past year). We basically just keep them wrapped in our backpacks until we make our way back to see people. The things we plan to keep for ourselves (mostly magnets) - those are either still with us or sitting in one of our parents' houses waiting on us to pick up at a later date.
@kineticpassports that makes sense, I still have a few table top trinkets from my trip too Jordan. We plan on a trip too Ireland next year. Have yall been yet?
@@JUStCALLMEZIMM we've not been to Ireland, but it's on our wish list! Scotland was amazing - Edinburgh is one of my favorite cities. So, I can only imagine Ireland is incredible. How long will you be there?
Unfortunately our Scotland trip was before we started vlogging - back in 2019. Still, I have so many good memories from our time there. It was definitely a bit on the rainy and gloomy side, but I think that's what made it so magical.
does it cost for them to hold it?
Great to be here. very interesting vlog. just a quick question. can you tell me Melissa's rucksack bag brand. looks impressive and waterproof. Grazie

@@kineticpassports that's for sure! I'm hoping my upcoming trip to and from Asia is uneventful!
We'll be crossing our fingers for you and sending as many positive vibes your way as possible!
Me and the Girlfriend love you're videos. Just another question.
What do you two do with all the little gifts and trinkets you get?
