getting "Could not connect to the server." when i run the shortcut, there's a bunch of errors and stuff in UTM SE. When I run the shortcut the only thing that appears when i get the could not connect error is INFO: (IP) - "GET /clear_tunnels HTTP:1.1" 200 OK (ipad mini 5th gen on ios 18.1.1 btw)

You just need to connect the computer the first time and then normally it will work without the cable (WiFi) but the computer must be online. Sometimes it crash with error 501 or 404 then we must connect and pair with the cable.

@@luthfankalalo9340 i kinda figured it out so you have to connect ur device to tailscale aswell. (Just like how you would with a normal vpn and keep ur device plugged in for the whole time this got rid of the request timed out thing but i encountered another error after that)

@@nickywiggle7145 no it’s not, this build is unstable. The VM could not use the virtual USB driver needed to find your device. Just retry this method is hit or miss for older devices.

@@vi8403 there’s nothing wrong with using JIT, it’s just allowing for your phone to debug itself. Apple uses it themselves with Xcode and a few other programs, as long as you’re not already running something malicious then you’re 100% safe:)
nothing can happen, jit means just in time emulation, and all it does is it emulates the cpu of the said console, so it can run better. In short, there are no dangers of using jit.

@@Propenchieferso I redownloaded the jitterbug thing and changed it to .plist. After zipping it, sending it to my phone, then unzipping it, I re-added the jitstreamer shortcut with this new file. Now instead of getting error 501 I’m getting “404 not found”
Check if the Tailscale app is working. Generate a new mobiledevicepairing file, send it to yourself by e-mail. Let your USB cable connected. Download the new file on iOS (Check spam folder). Delete the old file and modify the shortcut with the new file. That will work.
How much of a performance boost do you estimate enabling JIT helps? I currently am just playing Pokemon games on Folium and was curious on if the process is worth it or not?
How is it quick in your phone ? It is very slow in my case and usually doesn’t work first time i would need to restart the vm 2 to 3 times for it to work
Generally why I hate iPhone you have to do 1,000 steps just to emulate a game that takes 5 minutes to do when Android and each of those 5,000 steps have 5,000 steps of their own and once you run into an error which I guarantee you probably will then you have to look up another video on how to fix it and you have to do 5,000 more steps to fix it it's so annoying

You need to keep your pc connected which is a bit odd. I think the real question is it better to stream your pic via steam link or something else or fight for getting jit on IOS. That’s the real question

That is supposed to happen, it will then create a file in your jitterbugpair folder you extracted.

@@Propenchieferso I redownloaded the jitterbug thing and changed it to .plist. After zipping it, sending it to my phone, then unzipping it, I re-added the jitstreamer shortcut with this new file. Now instead of getting error 501 I’m getting “404 not found”

Check if the Tailscale app is working.
Generate a new mobiledevicepairing file, send it to yourself by e-mail. Let your USB cable connected.
Download the new file on iOS (Check spam folder).
Delete the old file and modify the shortcut with the new file.
That will work.
And I just had the same error. Altserver must run on the computer. It works now.

How is it quick in your phone ? It is very slow in my case and usually doesn’t work first time i would need to restart the vm 2 to 3 times for it to work
I cut the video up for time reasons, but also I’ve bumped the ram up to 3gb to boot faster

Generally why I hate iPhone you have to do 1,000 steps just to emulate a game that takes 5 minutes to do when Android and each of those 5,000 steps have 5,000 steps of their own and once you run into an error which I guarantee you probably will then you have to look up another video on how to fix it and you have to do 5,000 more steps to fix it it's so annoying

You need to keep your pc connected which is a bit odd. I think the real question is it better to stream your pic via steam link or something else or fight for getting jit on IOS. That’s the real question
