3:14 Agree that this should not have been recommended. However, if this was called a foul I think we have at least a promising attack due to how close Farsi is to goal and a YC for the fact that a push is never a (fair) challenge.

You’ll be able to make a one hour special on STL vs ATL on 6/22…..

Not MLS but as Greg was the Manager of Video Review for the Canada v Peru Copa America game today I would love to hear his view/position on the apparent head butt in the 39th minute that was checked by VAR but not sent down for review.

For next week, would love to see what the VAR saw in the LAG v NYCFC game to not recommend a review when the LAG attacker got WWE tackled to the ground.

Was crazy. That’s a couple weeks in a row a WWE tackle happened

It's disappointing that the penalty awarded to SKC in the RSL@SKC game isn't reviewed here. I understand that SKC did not convert the penalty, but it was a poor call nonetheless and deserved some scrutiny.

As Greg said, this video was for Week 20. SKC v RSL was Week 21.

I think the comment that the force on the Mo Farsi PK is “up for debate” is pretty lame. I’m a neutral party, and see a lot of force and little to no embellishment. The opinion that there isn’t much force is looking only at the arm, and not how much force is built up by the body position. The defender leans into Farsi before the jump and all that force is released when Farsi jumps, and is added to by the arm bar from behind. This is a play that is seen more often in basketball during a rebound, and it’s a foul in that scenario just like it’s a foul in this one.

As a neutral party as well, I see a lot of embellishment. I'm not convinced the attacker didn't jump forward when he felt that contact.
Clearly, this is 'up for debate'.

@@MrCho14 Not really. Look at the attacker’s legs during the jump. He’s jumping up, not out. All the forward momentum is coming from the defender’s push. It’s obvious if you look for it.
This needs to be called a foul, or attackers will flop even more than they do. Contrast this with embellishment by attacking players like Bouanga and Josef, who pretty much always get the call even when there’s no contact or they’ve created the contact.

Nail in the coffin for me is that the NYC player dodges the ball instead of heading it. Clearly no intent to play the ball, bad contact in the box.
IMO Farsi embellished a bit, but that's just part of the game at this point. If you don't go to ground chances are nothing gets called
