The Victorinox is SO durable! I've been abusing mine (including using it as a hammer dozens of times) for a decade now and it's still working very well. Overall, it's the best multitool on the market.
That Swisstool is 26 years old, can see it on the rould holes at the side, models since 1998 have a elongated hole that now fits the clip and was before only for the corkscrew.
It seems like Victorinox blade steel is x55crmo14 while their tool steel is x39cr13. Unfortunately Beta does not list their steel used. Thanks for watching!!
Good video! The Beta would be a great gift...for the price there is alot of value, imho...a good starting point if you want to get into multitools....btw, do you plan to fix the blade point of the Swisstool? Other than that, it looks pristine...a very lucky & nice purchase... 😊
Great question! So I hadn't realized the 1/4" socket actually comes with a built in detent so the bits are held in that way. Usually each bit needs a detent or magnet this time the adapter has the detent. I'll try to do a short video on it this week.

That's really a testament to it's toughness! Thanks for sharing!

You are so lucky to have a Swisstool that has "Victorinox" & the cross & shield stamped on the plier head....the newer models do not have these....
Thanks!
@@hvacbudget8600you are most welcome!
i think mine also has the brand name stamped on the plier head and has a scissor
Also they have rotated plier orientation not long after
Thank you for your quality videos Do you know which steels are used by Beta and Victorinox please?

Have you checked out the Victorinox fixed blade kit yet by any chance?
I haven't. Sounds interesting!
@@hvacbudget8600 I'd be very interested in your opinion.
Are Beta bits held in, with a magnet?

Where is the Beta manufactured? China?
Yes.
The bit holder for the beta tool looks like a pistol magazine 😅
It does!
