I think with the new Season 3 jungle there is so much emphasis and power in that one big creep that it's best to just take it out as quick as possible. The little ones are insignificant. What you suggest might improve your clear speed slightly but you'll also increase the damage you take by an amount that doesn't really make the pay off worth it imo.
It's so great to find out that some champs have a huge advantage over Teemo, like Lee Sin. I always get shouted at for not being good when trying to blind certain champs or trying to out-run some who can teleport like Master Yi.

Yeah Runaan's is a decent item but I don't like it for the role that I try to fill out while playing Teemo. It's definitely not an awful item though by any means, but I think you'd have to get it after some of your other items to make best use out of it.
Runaan's is ok, I personally don't like it because I find it doesn't really suit my role too much. I prefer items that allow me to take down single targets- Runaan's is only good in teamfights when they are bunched up. It's good for split pushing though.

It's never a good idea to not have smite. There are junglers who can jungle without it, but having smite increases your clear times a lot (especially early) and more importantly allows you to secure objectives like dragon and baron. You're also very vulnerable to counter jungling if you do not have smite and likewise you can't counterjungle very effectively yourself either.

Shrooms are no replacement for wards. Still get wards, and place your shrooms on chokepoints and escape routes. If you have a shroom handy and you're duking it out with a champ, place it right at their feet. Grab a Runaan's first. His poison still applies maximum damage across his three targets and will melt the jungle camps.
Malady's effects have gone into Nashor's Tooth and Wit's end so get both before late game. In addition Nashor's Tooth makes 1 v 1 much easier because this new passive to the item :)

Shroom teemo does about 1000 damage with one shroom. Being a jungler he can place them everywhere. The damages/resistance to said damage are calculated seperatly for teemos on hit items. The magic damage doesn't stack. Its not 42+30 / resistance it's 42 / resistance + 30 / resistance. I don't know exactly how it works but the different sources of damage make you do less overall if they build mr. Shroom teemo does an aoe and the damage also helps his autos. Shroom teemo is overall better.
Teemo's Q does not DoT and since Teemo's E is passive, the wording on the item may suggest that only spells with DoT are affected, not auto attacks. Not sure about this though

Since your poison (E) does some dmg over time would it be better to distribute the shots more evenly, sy, after you took the blue wratis, when taking the lesser wratihs? Not sure if you on average clear faster but take more dmg.
You mention getting Spirit of the Elder Lizard, but doesn't the true damage not proc? Teemo's poison makes his basic attack deal damage over time, so the Incinerate passive won't come into effect, right?
AS boots, Hextechgunblade, Blade of the Ruined king, Warmog, yellow ghostblade thing, the ap haunting thing, this is a really good build cus of 9% dmg with each attack and you got 2 burst items (actives), you can also swap hextech or ghostblade for the hurricane so you can deal the 9% to 3 ppl at a time , i go for the 0/30/0 masteries with this kind of build, i 1vs1 everyone. warmog + hextecht + ghostblade passive if you drop below 50% is enough to stay alive easy
tell me which one point in the masteries that gives u more then 15 dmg at 300 ap. Only the last offencive mastery point the executionar. + this is mana free because its AA.
I've been trying teemo jungle and came here after a few games to see what others do. I've been getting Blade of the Ruined King every game, it's huge on-hit damage and the active is great for kiting and/or bursting down carries (and the lifesteal is great for keeping you alive in jungle.) I'm curious why you wouldn't have this in your build, any specific reason?

What about Lantern/Red Spirit + Greaves + Hurricane + Frozen Mallet + Liandry? You clearly beastly fast, split push like a boss, and in team fights, you are spitting darts that slow, poison, and burn enemies.
Would you say havoc or brute force is a waste as well? Would probably get more damage from spell blade using 1 point than from havoc or brute force. Its everything put together which gives you the bigger end result.....
One thing worth noting is that you should never get SOTD if you are playing against Teemo. If he blinds you during the active you just wasted 2k and a item slot.
Always take smite. Even if you can handle it, you need it to secure buffs. Even Nunu needs smite, so he can have a double smite and have one smite that is ranged.

I almost always rush runaan's so I can spilt push faster than anyone and farm -Everything-. He is arguably the best split pusher in the game with his slowing ward-shrooms, move quick escapes and global taunt to get the entire enemy team to chase you when you push.

Imo the new BotRK is really strong, so it is definitely worth a purchase. Might even be core nowadays.

It doesn't proc off the poison but it procs off the actual basic attack. So it's like having two poisons.

One of the biggest challenges as Jungle Teemo is having your entire team verbally crucify you as soon as they see smite and Teemo together.

i play teemo top a lot and triorce is awesome on him it might be a lil expensive for the jungle but i reccomend it
