Awesome!!! Welcome back to the world of guitar playing. How do you like the Cybertwin and the Strat? #cybertwin #strat #fender #fenderamps #fendercybertwin #fenderamps #guitaramps #guitaramplifiers #fenderguitar
Nice review, Sammy. Bought the head right after they came out. Also bought the Fender 4X12 Celestion stereo cab, which I believe was discontinued years ago. Only modeling amp I own, but with FX-loop, XLR/SPDIF outs, etc., what's not to like? Also, just BTW, am a huge Strat/Tele fan. You showed the world that tone can be had from from a relatively inexpensive guitar. And in a laundry room no less. Gotta love it. Love that butterscotch Tele Squire. Just might buy one myself.
Nice little video. Funnily enough a guy i used to be in a band with sold me his CyberTwin combo back in '05 so he could use a CT head with 2 custom built 1x12 cabs for another project. That went for a Rivera Fandango then Bogner Shiva,,,,go figger ;) I Love the Cyber.
Pretty wild amp.. I like being able to do my own custom settings and have those programmed in. Good choices on the presets though, Stadium Rock, Texas Road House, etc.
Sammy man I appreciate the video bro, bcuz I'm seriously thinking about buying one and I've run into one for a pretty reasonable price that hasn't been used very much. It's in perfect condition.
Thanks much Great idea for setup .. in a "real" room .. .which some of us deal with ... LOL Nice looking Tele ... and thanks, good to see others "BANG' into stuff when getting set up Three for me most of the time also on the volume ... gets pretty loud Bought mine in 2001(not head) ... still works and with the same tubes .. a little "jumpy" on the wheel, but, workable
+Wiley Wesson Yes, I had to laugh when I read your comment. I think I might start doing more videos in various rooms. ...my kitchen, living room, closets, bathrooms, again in the laundry room, and perhaps my garage? I think it might be the ticket to be "relatable". Anyway, its good to hear that your 2001 is still working with the same tubes. How is the automation?
Hello Sammy, do you know if i can get a dark and fat vox-like tone with it? I was about to get an ac30 but i found i guy who sells the CT for far less (400bucks), there's something about this amp that really intrigues me. But i really need a fat sounding distortion, and i'm afraid i won't be able to get it with it...Thanks
Yes, I am sure you can get an awesome vox-like tone. I would always recommend trying an amp out in advance before you purchase, however, with a programmable digital amp like this, it is difficult to realize the full potential of this amp in just one day. You can get a tone similar to a vox with one of the pre-programmed presets, then tweak it a bit to match your speakers and guitar to give you the vox tone that you want. Trust me, I really do LOVE Vox AC30's, they are one of my fav amps. but the Cybertwin is right up there in the top 5 of my favs and it is a fraction of the cost of an AC30, escpecially one of the older ones made in Britain. I hope this helps. #vox #cybertwin #fender #amps #guitaramps #guitartags
Thanks Man, it really helped. Even if it doesn't emulate perfectly the ac30 top boost, is not necessarily a bad thing to me. It means it's somehow different but still conserving the kind of fatness and smoothness i'm looking for. And if it has good parameters to work on it then great! I got no problems with the learning curve everybody talks about, if this really allows you to find a personal (and convincing) tone. For a more practical point of view, the combo version it's not as heavyweight as the ac30 and and the line outputs are great for recording , so i'm going for it! (:
+Jim Flanagan I think you are right. Ok, next video is pajamas. ...or maybe I can talk my wife into doing the next video with me and she can wear the pajamas. I am sure many more people would rather see her in pajamas than me. lol. #hottiewife
I stopped playing guitar a couple years ago but I got a cyber twin and a strat yesterday on a whim, excited to get back into it.

Self-powered knobs are the coolest 😎

Hey guys, how do you program the amp to work with the foot controller? Do you assign something? I can't seem to get mine to do anything.
