Try to consider farming. Gawa ka ng conventional type building for broiler chicken then marami hahanap na mag rerent sa building mo. Mas malaki income kesa sa house rental
Ang parents ko RE ang ikinakabuhay ngayon may property kami sa Quiapo sa 2nd floor cla nakatira, ung bigasan sa baba nagrrent sa kanila ng commercial rate, yung 3rd at 4th floors nagrerebt ng residential rate. Ung 5th floor hindi talaga nmin yun pinapaupahan kasi ung dati nming tindera nawalan ng bahay so nakiusap sa parents ko sa sa rooftop titiira kaya nagrerent cya ng much lower rate. In short hibdi na kami nagpapadala ng kapatid ko kasi kaya na ng parents ko mabuhay sa rental property nila. Saying that wala kaming mortgage kaya malinis yung kita nila na pure profit. Nagtatwbi lang cla ng pang amilyar sa January at kaunti sa home repairs kasi need din talaga imaintain ang building.

I resigned from work and decided to be a housewife :) Marvin Germo's one of the best in the industry. So you're in good hands. :) Challenge lang for us na self-employed (well para sa lahat) ay lagi dapat may Reserved or Emergency Funds good for 3 to 6 months of living expenses. The primary source of income for US retirees are coming from 1) 401K/Roth IRA, they’re both retirement accounts and 2) social security benefits. If you are from another country maybe look for something similar to that former I mention. If you can open a retirement account, depending on your age, you can then set aside maybe 5-15% of your monthly income to that account and let it grow until your retirement age. When you retire, you may withdraw from this account maybe 4-6% every year as a source of income, hopefully the money saved in that account would last you throughout your retirement age. Just a thought, not sure if it works, if your coming from a different country but something to look into, because your retirement success depends on how sound your investments today.

I am a landlord here in US owning some properties and my plan is to retire in Philippines in two years time. Now my plan is to sell half of my properties and invest there like rental properties as well. But what hold me off to consider apartment business because the government already started the project building one million affordable houses each year so that is six million houses for the next six years of Marcos administration.
Yeah but those "affordable houses" might not be to their liking or standards. They are probably also are built for families. Are you planning on doing whole house or apartments which are more affordable?

What do you mean matagal? That's how property investment works, usually 5% to 8% rental return a year. In mature markets it's 3.5%. If you want quick returns but more risks buy crypto or stocks
