Skyrim Anniversary Edition: 7 Hidden Quests & Details You May Have Missed!

- It’s quite remarkable to think that the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is going to turn 13 years old later this year. It’s the 2nd most successful game Bethesda has ever produced at the time of making this video, second only to Fallout 4, and this longevity is thanks in large to its accessible gameplay, intriguing storyline and beautifully crafted, open world. In this world there is an incredible amount of detail. There are larger, story-driven questlines, but also smaller quests, lore just waiting to be discovered, clues that connect back to previous Elder Scrolls titles, or to Skyrim’s past, often quests that can be easily missed or forgotten about, and it’s these quests that I want to touch on in this video. I’ve pulled together what I believe are some of the lesser trodden paths and details within this incredible game. I hope you enjoy!
0:00 Introduction
0:50 Sacred Trials & A Long Lost Bow
10:32 My Brother The Beast
15:07 A Cornered Wood Elf
21:04 Falion's Secret
25:44 Old Hroldan & The Fate Of A Father
31:44 Caught In The Act
38:45 A Special Kind Of Mead

Eye opening for sure. Amazing what hidden gems remain in Skyrim after 10 years. Knew Loki was a hermit, but never knew he offered quests nor that he took in Haming from Helgen. Mind blown by these discoveries! Thank you Mike 🙌🏼
Yeah I must admit the Haming bit was new news to me until I was researching this last week. New as in I knew he was a Helgen orphan, but I didn't know he was the kid that sat on the porch and said he wanted to watch the soldiers 🤯
I kept awake longer than I should've to get to the end. I'm so glad that I did and what a story to finish on!
Thanks for all those - I will be following up on most, if not all.
No problem at all, glad you enjoyed it 😁
In the mod “Helgen Reborn”, they merge Kynne’s Sacred Trials into it. You complete the trials and the old man and his grandson are given a new house in Helgen
You can get the quest of the Dibellan Sybil by just sneaking into the sacred areas of the temple, no need to have the statue theft quest
That's awesome! A very wholesome outcome 😁👍🏻
I didn't know that, I guess it shows I generally play as a goodie two shoes 🤣 no breaking in anywhere unless it's quest related haha
@@mike-thegamingdad I too try to stay in the “grey area”with some restrictions. I just hate Maven and her sons. The daughter is trying to get the mother’s approval but is ignored. There is a note in the Blackbriar mansion in Riften inside the master keyed locked room in the basement that suggests that she has put the Dark Brotherhood on you. One of the reasons that I don’t follow the Thieves Guild quest line. You are beholden to Maven as she pulls the strings from secret.
@michaeltelson9798 yeah Maven is a bit of a deplorable character. I never liked her becoming the Jarl if you hand over Riften to the Empire. Although there are ways to fix that. Plus, the way she gains control of Honningbrew is unscrupulous. Sabjorn isn't exactly a saint himself, but I was never a fan of just giving her that monopoly
@@mike-thegamingdad That’s why I use a mod to destroy the Thieves Guild and another to kick Maven out of the Jarl’s seat.
I imagined outside of the game’s play to push for the Dragonborn to push for the Imperial seat. The only lore restriction would be the missing Amulet of the Kings.
The Rigmor of Cyrodill mod has you eventually becoming emperor with her as your consort. Having the Dark Brotherhoodin your pocket would be a hidden Ace card.
@michaeltelson9798 wow now that's a lot of power, judge jury and executioner 😉
OMG i just discovered the dibella quest last night!!! lol
ty for the video, mike! you’re such an inspiration! i’ve learned so much from you, my gameplay is better and much richer. your videos are so comforting. you’ve really made an impact on so many of us. every day i’m praying for your success. you truly deserve it
That's awesome! And no problem at all, thank you very much for your continued support, it means a lot to me 😁🙌🏼
Cool skyrim quest never heard of cornered wood elf. On Hjaltis sword on weapon rack on wall as can complete the quest without giving the sword to ghost
Ah okay that's cool 😁👍🏻
Awesome video my man, reminds me of some of your earlier Skyrim content. I knew about some of these, but not the Skaal one for Wulf, helping Malborn escape Windhelm or Falion disappearing into the marshes at night! Top work!
Thanks glad you enjoyed 😁👍🏻
Thanks glad you enjoyed 😁👍🏻
superb video Mike... can't wait to get back to Skyrim...I started playing Fallout to coincide with your playthru and I've been playing that non-stop - still haven't had the chance to catch up with all your output, so lucky I didn't start playing Starfield as well 😂
Ah excellent you are still enjoying it then 😁 I'll be getting back to recording that either tonight or tomorrow I think. Haha yeah Starfield was fun but not a patch on FO4 😉
@@mike-thegamingdad not half...I played along with your playthru up to Corvega, then just went off and started doing my own thing... finally made it to Diamond City, found Nick and had some fun in the Combat Zone/USS Constitution etc... now taking back the Castle with Preston and verrrry glad I'd kept hold of a Fat Man for contingencies! 😂
@AdrianMcGavock sounds awesome! I've sent Preston off to the castle, more so he couldn't give me quests. I'm yet to take the castle though, and I've not got as far south as the combat zone but I've got close to it 😁
You're a great Skyrim lore master! Thx for sharing
Haha thank you, no problem 😁
i only started playing it in the last year. wow - I can't stop restarting
Yeah it's a very addictive game, I've lost count of how many saves I've got running and new games I've started over the years 🤣
I see you're using Nerveshatter, imho one of the best two-hand weapons :)
Thanks for sharing these stories
Yeah I based an earlier build around that weapon, so much fun 😁 I used that save to shoot that section as it was one I'd not actually completed diplomatic immunity on 🤣
Brilliant video Mike, I will certainly remember some of these as I have no choice but to start a new playthrough. Two of the quests on Solstheim have broke and that has left me no other choice. Kind regards Gary.
Oh man I'm sorry to hear that, I hate it when you get a quest that bugs out and you can't finish 😫
I did not know about the side quest on Solstheim. Great video. I only found out about Malborn watching 🤔 Gopher's playthrough, I think 😅 I have way too much Skyrim content in my subscriptions. Wait, can there be too much Skyrim?
Thank you 😁 and no there can never be enough haha 🤣
Good video, lots of stuff I have not seen before.
Thank you that's great 😁👍🏻
3:22 TIL he was at the start of the game. Good eye sir
Yeah it's not easy to spot, switching text dialogue on helped as you actually see the names of the speakers, that confirmed it
Sykrim and my daughter are the same age lol
Crazy 😅 I still remember when this got released, I was 22 I think, single, living in an apartment. All the time in the world to play. A lot has changed since then! 🤣
Sorry, I haven't been playing Skyrim as much as I would like. Have to take care of a lot of animals and make sure the house isn't a mess.
And...I have been playing Knights of the Old Republic a lot.
No worries 😁 RL will always get in the way at times
