Announcing Curaçao Express Pass, Ushering in a New Era of Fast, Secure Border Crossings

In an exciting development for travelers and the aviation industry, Curaçao unveiled the first fully operational, traveler-enabled contactless border crossing, using the Airside Digital Identity App and the Seamless Journey Platform by Vision-Box, at the Curaçao International Airport (CUR).
This groundbreaking initiative enhances security and creates a truly seamless journey for travelers by putting pre-processing technology in their hands before they fly and enabling them to simply show their faces when they cross the border.
Incorporating state-of-the-art technology from Airside, an Entrust Company, and Vision-Box, an Amadeus company, puts digital ID at the forefront of aviation development.
Launching this as a full-scale solution is novel within the air travel industry, signifying a major leap forward in the world’s passenger processing.
Eligible travelers include (1) owners of any smartphone, iOS or Android; (2) aged 16 and older; and (3) holders of e-passports (passports with a chip) from the following EU, UK, US, CAN countries (note: the usage of this service will be expanded to more countries over time).
