I read that she was initially intend as remodeling of Studio Series 86 Hot Rod, but the guys at Takara Tomy took a step further by remodeling her from ground up. The fact that her gun has a Cyber Key hole shows just how much Takara put their passion and love to the toy itself and that giving the right people a chance to show off their talents really paid off.
Fun fact:in the japanese version of cybertron (galaxy force),override was originaly a male called "nitro convoy",but since hasbro in that time wanted more female characters,they choose to give the character a female gender
They literally have a team of writers that could've just created a new character as a female instead.

A Transformer that rolls well and actually has pinned on wheels in the front and back. Such a breath of fresh air.
The cubertron intro was probably the best transformers intro out there
override is the only velocitron series figure i was able to pick up, but she’s so worth it, the toy is basically perfect. maybe missing a few paint apps compared to the show, but it’s pretty much exactly how i remember her
Shes gorgeous 😍 I was lucky with Cosmos, Road Rocket and Black Convoy Scourge but I've been waiting for her.
I actually walked into our smyths toy store and was not expecting to find override, she was the last one on the shelf and I just grabbed her along with legacy elita-1, both figures are great
Cybertron was the line that was out when I was first getting into transformers, so I have a lot of nostalgia for it. I was super excited to get this figure, and it does not disappoint.

Exactly how I feel. And never having the original Override mold, this figure is incredible. It got me watching Cybertron again, and while some of the lines are a little odd it still holds up imo.
TO SAVE THEM AND THE GALAXY, WE MUST FIND THE FOUR CYBER PLANET KEYS BEFORE THE DECEPTICONS CAN USE THEM FOR EVIL

@@optimistprime3192 i remember watching the cybertron episodes on the hasbro website as a kid and always wanted a transformer toy but due to parents being overly strict with the stuff I got to enjoy at the time, I didn't get my first transformers toy till 2008 which ended up being jungle bone crusher because it didn't have any "guns" on it. but here I am now, collecting old figures I never got to enjoy as a kid

Since we've gotten Blurr and are getting Tarn, I really hope that they find a way retool this mold into IDW Rodimus. Probably won't happen but I can dream...
There is a listing next year for a deluxe velocitron Hot Rod. My guess is it will be IDW Hot Rod

I swear if hasbro makes the tarn figure an exclusive figure I'm going to be beyond mad. Also can they save the exclusive figures for lesser none characters please? Like flamewar or something else

yeah, hasbro has been putting exclusives out on their website, so that is nice, but it does quickly sell out and can probably not be available in certain areas

I don't get why after, what, 2 years? 3? It's STILL not an international thing. Hasbro Australia **exists**. Surely it wouldn't be hard for them to just ~~sell us things~~
ive had 2 of the original and as much as i like the character and really want the new one, im convinced the old one came out loose. i dont recall a time where either of my originals were capable of standing, and i got one of them when they were on shelves. they also both broke in the same spot, the tab the holds the leg in place in car mode broke off. excited to have an override who can stand and hold itself together
I returned to this video to say that Override did not disappoint. I am so glad I saw this review before I got the figure, because she is amazing
I had the original one as a kid still do but that middle piece snapped off and I was never able to find it behold 17 yrs later my parents recognized override and I got it as a gift for Xmas and I had that feel old moment at 21 when i compared the original to the current release I love this fig and recommend it 100 percent
GREAT REVIEW!... I went to THREE Walmart stores in my area a couple of days ago... Couldn't find Cosmos or Override at any of them... I had to get them from other online sellers... One of which i purchased from a scalper that was selling COSMOS for more than twice the price of it instore, and I still had to pay shipping on top of that... Yeah, these exclusives for mainline characters and/or new molds needs to stop... Couldn't find Clampdown or Road Hauler either. Had to order those online as well, to make sure I got those in my collection too... I did see all the others variously stocked at those three stores... But, what's the point of these exclusives, if you can't get them IN THE STORES where they are supposed to be sold at?... In addition, I never saw Earthrise Red Alert at any of the half dozen Walgreens I checked, which I checked several times during the winter months last year... I spent so much time and gas trying to track some of these down, and got "nothing" for my troubles... You would think living in a major city, you could find them, somewhere...

You need to move to Great Falls, Montana. My Walmart and Target always seem to carry an over abundance of exclusives and they actually had way to many Velocitron characters, now Ross has a ton of them( I got Scourge for $15) but sometimes Walmart isn’t always great about getting to many Leader classes, other than that I’ve been very fortunate, great video and figure.
Being that Override is Nitro Convoy in Japan, it would've been cool if she (and Legacy Metroplex) had a spot for their own Matrixes (like under the windshield). Would totally mess with the canon, but as an easter egg? I think it would be fun.
Totally agree about the exclusives, though. They are getting WAY out of hand. I was lucky enough to find Override and Hauler on my first try (they were my must-haves), but then you factor in stuff like the Buzzworthy 4-packs (I JUST want Fangry!), the Shattered Glass line, Generations Selects, the Pulsecon exclusives, the Amazon exclusives... look. I JUST want to buy toys. It shouldn't be this hard to track down a freakin' Terrorsaur or a ****Cosmos****. Calm down, Hasbro!

I was able to get in on the preorders for Override on Pulse which is lucky cause Hauler is the only Velocitron toy I've seen on the shelves of my Walmart. I was charged just the other day, so hopefully it'll be here soon.
I am eager for mine to arrive from Pulse. It looks SO good and I've heard so much praise. The only thing I plan to do is get my boyfriend to paint her headlight toes and engine-spoiler-gun, if only for a little more colour breakup. Otherwise, she's EXACTLY what I hoped for.
just snatched mine up this morning. it's great.
This figure is an enigma in the modern TF world. It feels so stable with the many slots and pegs securing everything in place. The wheels aren't even clipped in; instead they're on good old-fashioned metal pins. There's also barely any hollow areas in robot mode. Override is just so well-made.
exclusives WERE fine till stores in my contry (France) gave up on getting transformers toys so now i can only get some on internet, that kinda sucks... Great video as always :)
I got this 2 days ago, reviewed it, and I literally call it the perfect figure speciffically because of that backpack being minimal, the waist swivel doesn't have issues for me and strangely the backpack ( on my copy at least) doesn't get in the way.

This was the figure I was most excited for this year. I finally got it from Pulse and it's the absolute best figure I've had in a while.
I believe heel spurs are designed that way cause of the leg transformation
if you want a better waist and a slight ab crunch i recommend you trim off the two lower red tabs on the torso, where the sides of the wheelbed and shoulders tab in, the shoulders still clip in in two other places so its fine

I do absolutely agree with you about the exclusives - Override/Nitro Convoy and Cosmos are quite possibly the worst decision after the Netflix Bumblebee fiasco. New molds are fine but at least make the exclusive an alternate color and do the OG version for mass retail

I really do wish less of these were Walmart exclusives, because as happy as I am to finally own a Legacy Override, this is the first time I ever saw one of these in stock.

As someone who actually quite likes the Armada and Cybertron designs, if we're getting a line of those characters, but without the gimmicks to force designers to do some compromises. I am absolutely all for it
I preordered mine off Walmart. Lets hope I actually get it some time lol
I somehow managed to get one in a Wal-Mart in Virginia and I can say that the camera does not do the glossiness any justice, as on the real thing it's as glossy as a new car, but the colors are white and red so fingerprints and smears are barely a problem. However on my copy the right arm slider is really stubborn, indicating why we don't get them anymore, and it had some paint chipping right out of the box.
For all those non-scalpers out there, it's about a 40 minute drive from luray caverns. If you are a scalper, just keep driving east until you reach the beach, and then you keep on walking until you find Atlantis because that's where you belong you filthy scalper motherducker.
I actually saw an override at my Walmart but couldn't get it but I'll try now that I know it's an exclusive

I don't mind walmart exclusives, especialy since I live on an island in Canada.
We have 5 walmarts on my island but only 1 toys r us so finding figures is a huge pain for me but I have real good luck finding exclusives lol

Great bot mode, but it's kinda sneaky when the alt mode has to be compromised to pull it off.
Didn't realize this figure was an exclusive. Almost wish I picked one up now when I saw it.
I think the reason why they did wal mart is since we don’t have a lot of chain of toy stores. Or at least in California i don’t know any close to where live. But there’s plenty of wal Marts close by and I was able to get this figure and Blur about 2 weeks ago.
Guess I'll pick this one up from my Walmart. Actually, buy multiple to give away (at original retail price) encase the prices get really high
aren't the heel spurs like that because the thighs have to slot in between the prongs? and the divets on top are for the axel?

I recently aquired this figure and it’s fantastic. I love it so much. Transformers Cybertron has a lot of nostalgia for me and Override was one of my favourite characters because, she’s a bit of a badass. I think the Robot mode is fantastic it’s just brilliant, looks pretty much how she appears in the show. The plastic quality is great, the aesthetic and proportions are way better than the original toy and I think she scales pretty well. The transformation is also quite fun to do, if a little scared in some places but pretty good. My only real nitpicks with the figure is that I think the old toy pulls off the car mode a bit better, particularly the fenders of the front bumper. The wheels look cooler on the old toy as well if I’m perfectly honest. I also think she’s missing a few paint apps here and there but it’s not too bad. 9/10 for me. Xx

I FINALLY GOT THEM HERE AND GOT THE LAST ONE HOLY CRAP!!! Genuinely love this figure cause it is very nostalgic for me since I grew up on the unicron trilogy. Override was always one of my favorite characters based on design alone, so I’m so happy to have actually found it! Next up is Armada Starscream!

Dang this figure is great! I wished the Cybertron Optimus had just as good of proportions as this figure, Prime looked too chunky with that Magnus mold.
Now i wanna see thunderblast, scattershot, landmind, vector prime, overhaul, ransack, thundercracker crumplezone, sixshot, shockblast, rodimus, downshift, tidelwave, ironhide, red alert, demolishor and cyclouns as legacy figures i need the whole unicron trilogy

Great review, as usual, but man I’ve been searching everywhere for a decently priced Battle Blades voyager prime and I can’t find one anywhere. Hell, I’m able to find HFTD Banzaitron, but not him. It is incredibly strange.

I doubt I'm ever gonna be able to find this figure. At least I still have my Hunt for the Decepticons Override from back when I got into the toys (shame it's not quite the same character)
Well I managed to get the figure and I love it. Probably won't transform it very often because the tabs in the shoulder seem a bit tough but it's such a great figure
My walmart had like 8 overrides
I'm hoping these exclusives will end up like the legacy beasts where walmart gets in a bunch of shipments but knowing my luck I'm gonna have to resort to mercari for Ovveride and Scourge especially Scourge since both of my walmarts refused to stock the Netflix leaders after the Ultra Magnus shelfwarmed and then they also decided to not stock any leader class toys until recently after wave 1 of earthrise shelfwarmed.
Override and Scourge are both very easy to get. Cosmos is the hard one to obtain, then clampdown.

@@kingragnork only figure I've actually seen so far has been hauler and when I went to finally grab him he was gone. Not a single sign of the deluxes, Override or Scourge
@@craider45 hasbro pulse I believe has all of them in stock except for clampdown, hauler, and cosmos of course.
@@kingragnork actually forgot about pulse cause usually they sell out on exclusives. Override is still available and Scourge says his pre-order ships on Thursday
