The Grinch (PC) "100%" speedrun in

The comparison I was using during this run was "Goal Pace" - an artificial set of splits that would give me a 1:39 if I kept on pace with them. I crushed it. This is 3m35s saved over last year's 1:42:43 WR. Sub 1:40 has been a goal of mine for a long time, and I actually found a lot of improvements over my previous run.
The most major reroutes were Who Lake 3 and Who Forest 3. In the first visit to the Mayor's Villa in Who Lake, I talked to the pirate to activate the scarf mission. This removes an unnecessary backtrack to the cave in the final visit to the level. In the Civic Center in Who Forest, I finally found a way to collect the Grinch Copter plan on the ledge without shimmying across the ledge for 30 seconds. This will also save time in All Gadgets and will probably utilize a S+Q. Other minor reworks add up to 30 seconds across the run.
The most major improvements to be made to this record are skipping the hearts as they are not required to unlock the motorcycle minigame or to have 100% in the mission book or file select. I also had a sloppy Who Lake 2 and Rats, but they could've been much worse. 1:37 is reasonable with the current route, but that is not a goal of mine yet.

How do you play it with the controller? Also can’t figure out how to use the jet spring for pc or how to open the book so that you can save the game

I leave the controls by default and I rebind each controller button to a keyboard input through JoyToKey. If I remember correctly, F1 opens the mission book. Click on "Controls" before booting the game and you should be able to see everything you need.

Funny you say that! My PB immediately before this was a 1:42:16 and I played it in German. The highlight is still on my twitch. It lagged out the cutscenes and costed at least 20 seconds overall but it was worth it for the memes. Thank you for the GGs
