I think we need to use a bigger oven bag because we had an 8 pound pernil and used the oven bag that goes up to 8 pounds maybe if we use the larger one it would’ve had more air to fry the top of the meat
You are my secret weapon I often have cook off with my Puerto Rican neighbor she doesn't understand why my stuff is better than hers I told her listen Mommy this green-go knows you have to smash a couple of potatoes to thicken the sauce...LOL

I never cut slits or flour the bag when I cook my turkey and it comes out perfectly - juicy with crisp skin. That's doesn't mean that I'm advising anyone to do it my way...just saying 🙂

We did everything Exactly the way you did it but the skin didn’t come out crunchy or hard it came out gummy
