    Ohhhh!! Thanks for being so thorough about "THE SCREEN" as title of video Tells you what the subject of Video is but I learn nothing about the screen, just all the pieces of before, and exactly after, none of the screen whatsoever, unless it's invisible and installed so well it defies natural laws

      @@KingWashington1776 there are a couple if you keep looking it's just the compression when the new screen is on I'm thinking stick it between books and apply two handed pressure to get the curve edges on the screen phone must be on something equally as narrow so you can get a full bend in the books on top

      It appears they are replacing not just the glass, but the glass, LCD display, and touch digitizer assembly. This is purported to be an easier repair than trying to separate glass and reuse display. I assume this disassembly is the only way/ easiest way to replace the screen assembly.

    after watching this video, it will blow my mind if they use the same method to replace windscreen.
    Instead of putting on a new windscreen, you will need to take out seats, engine, transmission, tyres,... and put them on a new car frame.

  • @MySpoot
    @MySpoot 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    By connector are you referring to any of the snap pin ribbons? As long as the damage is on the snap pin attached to the screen and not the motherboard. You can replace a screen and a screen ribbon but you can't replace the motherboard or any part of the motherboard. The S9 has hardware backed encryption. Meaning even if you replaced the motherboard or parts, your internal memory will become scrambled until the motherboard detects the key originally factory installed. So be extra extra careful going roque.

    • @cdgstuff7512
      @cdgstuff7512 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct and incorrect. This is the process for replacing the entire screen assembly, a process purported to be much easier and foolproof than replacing just the glass (since you would then have to separate, save, and reuse the display). The key moment is 4:25, where the parts are stripped down to the screen assembly and they begin the rebuild on top of the new screen part. They do skip showing the screen unit being traded for the new one, making it appear that they changed nothing at all

      Yeah, I just came from the repair shop and they wanted $250 to replace the screen and the battery and I thought that was steep. So I thought I could replace it myself .When you consider the new screen and battery will be at least $100 then I'm really just paying $100-150 for them to do all the work. I also don't have all the right tools and will likely mess it up and spend all weekend doing it. So, yeah, this video convinced me the best bet is to just let the experts do it!

      @ChaoticMuchX 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sickofthebs93 nahh, yeah I know. The quotes I got were the same thing, from 150 to 200 , too high. But thats why I said labor, I'm buying the replacement screen itself and taking the phone and the replacement screen to the shop and asking them to unscrew it and put it in there for me . I'd pay them for the labor of that and the quote I got is $50 bucks.
      You should do that bro buy your own replacement screen on Amazon or eBay wherever it cost like 40-50$ depending on the phone model ..dont just give your phone to the shop and tell them to do the whole thing they going to buy the same replacement parts that you would get yourself but charge you more on the screen for profit
      I repair my phone and only cost 90$ instead of the 200

    • @chi11estpanda
      @chi11estpanda 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      They did, they replaced the LCD as it was attached to the front glass Touch Screen Digitizer. It sounds like you were looking for only the glass replacement without the digitizer which represents the outer glass portion of the phone and not the actual image display unit (which is what technically refers to the "LCD screen", most people confuse the LCD panel with the part needing replacement when it's just a crack on the glass part of their phone and is usually part of the digitizer NOT the LCD).
      The screen replacement kits you find online for less than $20 is for just the glass and literally just the glass like a flat lense. To replace that, it just a heat gun to melt the glue and replace it. If you want "LCD replacement", which we're referring to the image display unit that lights up and provides images and is not related to the glass that people usually crack, but without a digitizer attached as shown in this video, then you'd have to do similar to the video above but in addition to heat the glass to remove the digitizer.
      Even in your own video "[FIXED]How To Replace IPHONE 6 6s LCD Screen w/ English Description" on your own channel, you didn't replace just the LCD panel, you replaced the LCD and digitizer for the iphone 6, so anyone can say the same thing about your video. If you wanted to replace just the LCD on the iphone, you would have had to separate the white front panel with its cracked glass to get the LCD panel out. Just FYI

The screen and the glass gued together with uv glue. If your phone screen damaged and broken, buy an original screen with frame, and follow the video step by step.
