Terry is the best of the adults, next to johnny. Robby is definitely the best of the younger cast with hawk behind him. Billy had a ton of potential back when he was a kid. he was really fluid, powerful, fast, and athletic. His martial arts looked the most convincing of Daniels rivals in the films

@@angelvalencia829Tanner also did TKD for a few years as a kid, got some belts and did Muay Thai before CK. That doesn't mean anything now because neither of them had kept it up when they started CK. Thomas Ian Griffith is the only true martial artist, he has trained consistently since he was in highschool. Out of the kids, Jacob and Tanner are definitely the best. But I'd say Tanner edges out the win. His techniques, form and stances are the most accurate according to several real life senseis that have reviewed cobra Kai. Including Darryl Vidal from Karate kid, who is a 10th degree black belt and sensei in real life.

It's worth noting what a great addition to the cast Dallas Dupree Young is. He portrayed the nerdy bullied kid transitioning to vicious bully perfectly, similar to Xolo Maridueña and Jacob Bertrand before him.

That's a very easy answer. Thomas Ian Griffith could beat the entire cast all on his own. He's an actual martial artist, I don't think any of the other main cast members are. Zabka may have been at one point though but never reached the heights of Thomas.

@@TheRealLizz I'm talking about the actual actors, not the characters. I actually made a mistake, Ron Thomas who plays Bobby is probably the best martial artist in real life. He's a sixth-degree black belt in Kodendkan Ju-Jitsu.
@AK, here a list (maybe some errors in it, but i tried my best to be as accurate as possible):
Billy Zabka:
- Green belt in Tang Soo Do, not in Karate.
- Knows a bit Wrestling too.
Was trained by Chuck Norris student Pat E. Johnson, the guy who played the referee in The Karate Kid, and a thug in the beginning of Enter The Dragon when he treatens John Saxon character Roper with a revolver.
Thomas Ian Griffith:
- Black belt in Kenpo Karate,
- Black belt in Taekwondo.
Yuji Okumoto:
- Brown belt in Karate in 1986 during KK2.
I cant say you how its today, but i think he is now a black belt for many years.
- Chito-ryu Karate under Sensei Yukinori Kugimiya,
- Judo under Hayward Nishioka (who trained with Bruce Lee and Rickson Gracie),
- Kajukenbo under Sensei Ron Takaragawa
- Yau Kung Moon (chinese Kung Fu style) under Sifu Kevin Quock,
but only some basics.
Kajukenbo is a hybrit of Karate, Judo, Jiujitsu, Kenpo Karate and chinese Boxing.
Martin Kove:
- Black belt in Okinawa-te Karate, his Sensei was Gordon Doversola.
- Basics in Boxing. He even sparred once the legendary Larry Holmes, who fought Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, Ken Norton, Jerry Cooney and others.
In one of the first Episodes of the TV Series "The Incredible Hulk" (1977-1982) he plays a Boxer named Rocky.
Sean Kanan:
- Shyto-ruy Karate (Fandom says Green Belt during KK3, but Fandom has errors)
Personal student of Master Fumio Demura.
- Studied a bit Shotokan under Sensei William Stoner,
- Tang So Doo under Pat E. Johnson, but i cant find a source which belts he has.
Demura was the stunt double for Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi when Miyagi fought. So Barnes/Kanan is the student from the "fighting Mr. Miyagi" Demura.
- Studied a bit Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Filipino stick and knife fighting under Darryl Vidal.
Vanessa Rubio:
- Brown belt in Karate, she said this in some interviews.
Ron Thomas:
- 6th degree black belt in Kodenkan Jujitsu, won the 1994 World Jiu Jitsu Championships.
Darryl Vidal:
- 10th degree black belt in Karate since 2012. He was a first degree black belt during KK1 in 1984. Today he teaches Karate but also Filipino Escrima and Wing Chun Kung Fu.
Tanner Buchanan:
- "A couple belts away from black" (most probably blue or brown) in Teakwondo in his own words.
I dont know exactly what rank he has, but different organisations have a different belt system, some people say he has a brown belt. Only one or two TKD branches have brown belts at all, and their rank order is white, yellow, orange, green, purple, blue, brown, red, black.
So i guess he has either blue or brown, two or three belts away from black (same as Jacob in Karate)
- Muay Thai for eight months in Canada.
- His mother has a 2nd degree black belt in Kali
Jacob Bertrand:
- Purple belt in Karate.
The problem with the purple belt in Karate is not all branches have purple at all, and the ones who have it use this belt differently. Some times purple is before blue, some times after blue. So its difficult to say if he was one belt before brown or one belt before blue. The rank system is either green, purple, blue, brown, black, or its green, blue, purple, brown, black. You have to know exactly which branche of Karate it is to see if purble is before or after blue.
So he was either two or three belts away from black (same as Tanner in TKD).
- He also studied a bit grappling styles.
Xolo Mariduena:
- Shotokan Karate for two years, but i cant find informations which belt he has.
Gianni deCenzo:
- Krav Maga; i cant find a source which rank he has. The rank order in KM is white, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown, black.
Someone wrote he did Karate but there is no source, at least i didnt found any.
Owen Morgan:
- Black belt in Karate. He is the only black belt among the young actors who portray the Teenagers.
The foundation of Okumoto/Chozen is very complete, many grappling and striking arts combined. So in totality it is fair to say he is most probably the most complete of the adults. His grappling is most probably better as the grappling of Griffith or Vidal, his striking proably better then the striking of Ron. But we never know for sure.

Not Xolo,Jacob.Xolo is not a great martial artist irl he's stated it himself.Jacob is very good on the other hand and so is Tanner

People are saying Woodley is the best fighter because he fought in the UFC but look at his last 4 fights he lost then he lost two time in boxer by a TH-camr 2nd time getting knocked out.Being a UFC fighter don't mean you are real good.I mean if a TH-camr can knock him surely the guy who plays Terry Sliver can I mean he does train in fighting so does the guy who plays Johnny.
