But on the website, it shows the Hekla is the cooking box.?.? The Original, (painted/naked) is the regular one? BTW, Im in Arvada. Any discounts for local p/u? ;)
We decided to go ahead and make every Hekla a dual burner (trident) system 🎉 we also made the original ad dual burner as well. keep an eye out for our big black Friday sale coming up!
May be a dumb question, but I'm not super knowledgeable on propane. If the difference between yellow and blue flame is just covering the air holes, could you in theory just have the one burner but with a slide valve that either covers the air holes or leaves them open?
Good question! We tried a bunch of variations of “shutters” to cover the air mixer but really preferred the performance of the dedicated individual burners. You know when you try to make something do everything and it ends up not doing anything really great? That’s what we were trying to avoid. We still have the best campfire flame in the market and not we have an awesome cooking burner to go with it! ❤
Josh, great video showing the difference between the Hekla and the Trident! This in my kinda video!! Such a great design. Thank you!

what is the purpose of the holes in the side of the box? How do they affect the flame?
