- Prairie Screamer is the lone roller coaster at Prairie Playland. This is a small amusement park located at the Trader's Village flea market in Grand Prairie, Texas. This coaster was built by E&F Miler and it originally operated as the Scandia Screamer in Ontario, California. But after that park closed, Prairie Playland saved this coaster. This is a highly underrated ride with some intense airtime.

Prairie Playland got an absolute gem of a Miler coaster, and it’s probably going to run a lot faster now that it’ll probably be cycling a lot more than it did at Scandia
It was running well for a 60 degree day.
I can see in the off-ride video that it didn’t need a full train like it did at Scandia

I'm kind of surprised more parks have not built these. They look fun and probably are fairly cheap, though super janky
I wish there were more too.
I think Sea Viper from P&B is a similar sort of model, I could see more of those being built at similar parks

I just went to my annual local fair on Monday. The new Coaster they claimed was there, was actually a clone of a coaster that was there last year and also there this year. So basically the same coaster with a different color and name. I truly wish they added this model to the lineup instead of matching clones. They had 2 different wild mouses, which were great, This looks so good for a local fair Coaster.
this actually isnt a fair coaster, traders village has a permanent small amusement park! i think its very charming, this is their first coaster :)
@@roxyreina2524 Oh, thanks for the info. It has the “portable” look and footprint of a fair coaster. And that place that it’s at definitely looks like a short term fair setup. Doesn’t look permanent at all.
@@powerfulcornelius3285 yeah agreed, its a flea market actually so thats its main deal, it just had a few rides on the side for kids, this is their first real "big" attraction. Love shopping there tho theres a lot of nice local shops!
It looks portable, but this is at a permanent park now.

Can not believe texas stole this one. Scandia couldve relocated it to their victorville location an hour away

Yes
Some count relocations as new credits, others don't since it's physically the same ride.
I rode this at Scandia during a visit to California over twenty years ago.. If I ride it again at its new location, does that count as an additional credit?
Depends if you count relocations or not.

I had a feeling you'd be returning to Texas this year, but I would've thought it be during the summer time to visit the Schlitterbahn waterparks for the first time, along with the new Catapult Falls at SeaWorld San Antonio, and the new COTA Land in Austin. Or did you just visit the Dallas/Fort Worth area on this visit?
I went to Houston and San Antonio too. Had to go to Irving for work.
