I’ve been playing with a controller since d1 and I’ve been wanting to make the switch to mouse and keyboard. I play mostly crucible, any tips on how to make the switch? Any recommendations in terms of settings? Glad to see you back and uploading!
Thanks man, I appreciate it! I was pretty intimidated by MnK because I grew up with controller. So much muscle memory from the Halo 2 days all the way up until now, but it honestly wasn't that bad. I found that doing PvE to get used to the general feel of keybinds and mouse sensitivity helped a lot. IMO, the best way to go about settings is just testing them out... everyone has different preferences due to comfort. For example, I don't like hitting the numbered keys to switch weapons, so I use F to switch between primary and secondary. Some people use scroll wheel, but I don't like how that feels. Thankfully, like most shooters, your knowledge of the game is the most important thing. I've beaten several players that were probably better than I am at aiming, but I just played smarter. I think that helps a lot with transitioning into a different input.
I think that is just the norm nowadays with live service games like Destiny, Final Fantasy XIV, etc. They give you a taste of the game for free, hoping you will enjoy it enough to invest into all of the DLC.
I always start off with something a little less meta... but when I start losing to immortal, I start to give in, lol. I'm not good enough at MnK to consistently beat meta with non meta.
I've been using both a good amount recently with pretty similar results, but on that weekend I was just feeling good with Beloved. I don't really like switching up my snipers that often because it takes me a while to readjust to different zooms and what not. I do feel like Beloved is a little easier to hit shots with, but Cloudstrike just feels badass, lol.
How in the hell do you already have such insane snipes on MnK? I’ve made the transition to MnK for like a year and I’m still not this consistent at sniping, you have to do a tutorial where you break down what your doing differently then most players cause I must be missing fundamentals :)
I was in the auto shop the other talking to this guy who wrecked his car, he said he was watching TV play PUBG and that it inspired him to wreck his car just like TV anytime he drives in PUBG
That no scope at the beginning.. oh my lord was that dirty. 😮
Haha, just a tad bit of luck in there :P
Its almost like watching D1 Hovey all over again. Your snipes are still incredible dude.
Those drag snipes are crispy man. Thoroughly enjoyed the video man.
I am watching this video 6 months later in hopes that Hovey will start posting "content" on YT. And the drag snipe is still crispy.
this was a fun watch with a side of nostalgia
Hovey Trials Videos in 2023 bring me literal joy.
Always such a joy to watch. You've inspired me to try to snipe again lol
Good to see ya still grooving with the snipes. Always a treat. Keep up the good work, sir.
Hovey glad to see you back in your element!
Trials? Yes. MnK? Not so much, lol. Nice to hear from you, CD. Hope you've been doing well!
@@kjhovey Meant back uploading and D2 trials haha, And yea been doing well! We’ll catch up soon enough! :D
I've been mostly playing M&K for 3 years now and Hovey is already more consistent than me feelsbadman lol
his game sense is insane he could dominate any game he wanted to try in
impressive! also love the little bit style intro
I love hearing Hofer bitch and moan about Titan, gives me a good chuckle
Impressive never missing snipe

@@kjhovey appreciate the response!
It’s crazy how so many of these good players have moved on.
Letss goooooo
8:51 noise was u bustin a fat one from how clean that shot was
Makes me miss the NBL days
Man you make that shi look easy. I would never accuse you of hacks because you’re the man but I’m sure thinking it lol blew my mind
Why did the make this game free to play? Did it make it better? I haven't played since destiny 1 so I have no clue

Glad to see your using the obligatory immortal while playing trails.

@@kjhovey I'm not criticizing, I don't blame you at all. Can't really compete with 3 immortals unless you use one yourself.
yyyyyippieeee
any reason you like beloved over cloudstrike?

Man, TV and Hofer sure do seem to die a lot during Trials. You need to have a backpack emote.
Ive played a guy on xbox called Khovyx lol
