My grandfather died a little under a year ago, he was a huge fan of the supernatural, he always had tons of ghost books, and was a avid watcher of Ghost Adventures and the likes. A few weeks after he passed away, really weird stuff started happening, I was driving with my mother, brother, and grandmother (his wife) when all of the sudden, the radio started changing stations, and went to the station with older rock music. A few minutes later, the air conditioner went on full blast, startling all of us. A few more weeks passed, the radio continued to change, mostly at important events, such as the birth of my cousin, and Christmas Eve. Every once in awhile, my cat would stare at this chair he always sat at during holiday get-togethers, and then quickly dart away, usually hiding under my brothers bed. Once in awhile I'll see a shadow walk past my doorway, or will hear the floorboards creak when no one else is home. It's honestly kinda of settling, knowing he's still around, but at the same time, it's kind of spooky. I've always been kinda skeptical about ghosts, because I've never seen one before, but now, I believe in them 100%. Thanks for reading my story, haha ;p

most ghost sightings are in the shapes of mists or shadows. Most ghost photos are fake online though but the ones who cant be explained are usually shadows or partial apparitions.
My dad died when I was 9.(im 20 so this was 2004 here) He had a brain tumor and Lung cancer. Whenever He died, My watch stopped at 11:42. When I went to his funeral, I found a coffee packet in my shoe. The kind *he* used. Later that week, I smelled french toast like he made every morning. Then the next day my mom's alarm clock didn't go off. My dad usually turned off her alarms so she would get sleep. Then a few months ago on April 13 11:42, I heard a Truck honk it's horn along the lines of "Be-Be Beep- Beep!" that sounded like "Good-bye Er-ik!" like he did when he left for work which was truck driving. Digital photos are so easy to alter that most people don't accept them as evidence. If it is on film and can be examined by a professional (now scarce as hen's teeth) they are considered better evidence.
this is how i know for a FACT! that ghost arent real, in the U.S alone almost everyone has a smart phone with ofcourse a camera and your telling me that nobody has caught a picture of a ghost when back then only wealthy people had cameras making them super rare and a camera just so happens to catch one but not one of the millions of iphones floating around everywhere in the present?

I've never believed any of this until a couple weeks ago.. it was my uncle's weeding in a remote village and my cousins were taking pictures. In one of the photos was a super pale girl almost looked totally white, in a white gown standing right behind my uncle. It scared the shit out of us because we saw no such kid during the weeding, and my cousins and relatives there literally know nothing about computers, let alone the internet so nobody could have edited the photo.

I dont get why the most photo's of "ghosts" are captured from camera's that where produced in the years 1890 till 1980. I almost never see a "ghost" captured with a Sony Alpha A7R for example haha

Well that's true but so long as even a few of these photo's are genuine they are more than faces sometimes full humans figures that's not just a mind trick. These tell me one of 3 things 1) they are all fakes in one way or another 2) Simply ghosts are real 3) there are parallel universes that overlap our own with past future and alternate timelines and spaces and they are not ghosts but of humans just as living as ourselfs maybe we have been in pictures taken in another dimension...who knows?

I love the internet. "The person taking the photograph says there was no one there at the time." Oh! OK, must be true then. Yup, definitely a ghost. No other explanation, like, oh , I don't know... the person is lying?!?! So stupid. And double exposures and development streaks are extremely common. I must have a good dozen "ghost" photos in a box at home. Kids in the digital age just don't know how common this is.
True story: When I was younger I loved looking at ghosts, yet always got scared and paranoid because of this. Once when I was on holiday and I was on my own in the entertainment arcade-like place in the hotel and I had a digital camera on me. what if these things are in different universes, identical but different to earth. Let's say the planets are somehow connected. Ok, now let's say something odd occurred which caused the universes to temporarily rapture, and for a split second they could be seen in our universe, and we could be seen in theirs, wouldn't that be awkward?
#19 was shown to be reused photo film. Notice how similar the ghost is to the guy in the photo? Well an image that was taken before of the guy was reused which caused the ghostly like figure to appear.

+Tab T Yeah, if its the kind of polaroid I saw being used as a kid, in order to reuse the photo, you'd have to be the flash in order to reload that photo back into the camera... That's probably not even how they work tho, if the photograph had to be shaken or anything.
The last time I ever saw my great grandfather back 3 years ago was the worst day of my life I really miss him he used to be a really kind person and every time I go the bed he used to rub my back a lot and sit in the rocking chair near my door and now he is dead every time I go to bed my back feels so so good like someone is Rubing my back at night and the rocking chair after he used to leave it, it never rocked anymore now it rocks constantly and it's really creepy :( I hope God is taking care of him :) love you great-granddaddy!

I never believed in ghosts either, as some of you mention, thinking there was an explanation of some sort. Before my husband passed away in 1998, (he could talk and explain things a lot deeper than I had ever imagined, in my thinking and not wanting to believe in ghosts in fear they might (!) LOL), anyway he told me when he passed (he was a quadraplegic) that he would come back to prove it to me. I said, "Larry, don't you come back and scare me!" He assured me I would not be scared by him. Well, let me tell you, this non-believer is now a believer. There were several incidents that had to be him 'proving' it to me. Instead of being afraid - let's say I had a kind of creepy/comforting feeling. I could go into the several unexplained things that happened, but to make a long story short, after a year, I moved from CA to VA, and was setting up my bedroom; had the TV that was his, with his remote laying on the bed. The channels kept changing, and I would put it back on the channel I was watching. After a few times of this, I looked up and said, "Larry, the boys and I are okay now. We are back in Virginia and we will be alright." The channels never changed again, and that was the last sign I got from him. Ask the jeweler in CA that was cleaning his ring in the back room of the store, and came running out front, pale-faced, because Larry's ring kept trying to fly off the spindle of the machine; he would turn the toggle switch off, and he kept coming back on. He took me back there and showed me how the toggle switch worked, and said he was not cleaning that ring anymore. Ask me about how (we had phone line modems not cable then), my internet got disconnected while IRC chatting online with a friend about how much I missed him. After searching around and checking connections, the 25-foot modem wire had disconnected from the back of the computer (it was usually a tangled mess) and was wound in a perfect circle in the corner of the room 10 feet away, as if it just come out of it's package. No one was in the house except me. Ask me how my son, coming home from school, finding his terra-fish tank full of water and water perfectly clear. A tank my husband used to remind him over and over to add water and put the drops in the water that would clear it up. My son asked me if I cleaned his tank..... I had to go see what he was talking about. The tank was clear and full of water - no one at home except me.
When he was alive, Larry said he believed there were different dimensions, and sometimes those that have passed, accidently or on purpose, reach into our dimension and make contact.

When I lived in the house where I was born and I was 3 or so, it was seriously haunted. My parents told me that one night, I woke up on my closet. But of course, I was 3 so there was no way I could have climbed up there. Also, my brother claimed to have heard pots and pans one evening, and when he got into the kitchen to see what was happening, a knife was on the floor.
This is a true story. I was on my computer and my brother decided to take a photo of me for no reason he took a few actually. After 2 days I looked at the pictures and found on my computer screen(which was on sleep) a person in the background. I do not know what it was to this day but it was creepy

The house was seriously haunted. Tvs turn on and off and volumes would go up and down. But it seems we have been followed regardless if we move. I believe it's my grand parents

The scariest thing that happened to me was probably being paralyzed in my sleep. You just feel like you wake up, and you feel safe.. like a glitch and not being able to exit a game. And when you realize you're in your dream, man it's just scary. I was having a nightmare about a man in a panda suit. It was covered in bloody stains. There was this "dance circle" thing. I don't even know why though. The panda man held a knife, a large knife. There were colors, and you HAD to stay on a color- never the white tile ground. If anyone touched the white tile, they were brutally murdered and stabbed to death. Luckily, I survived. Then, it felt so real.. The panda dude was standing behind a door, and had a knife in the door knob. Someone- i'd say a 9-10 year old girl- went to open the door, and the panda guy stabbed her hand and murdered her. Another time I experienced this was when I was going into a house- strangely from the stone roof above a dark alley in the city- with my friend. When we walked into the house, it was like a small dim lit cottage/hut. I went into the kitchen and my friend was in the living room. I saw a black shadow developing RIGHT in front of my floating.. it had about 6 arms and was just growing, my friend escaped first.. I made it out. Then, it went black. I was in a basement with clothing everywhere and the TV was glowing blue. It was dark and I was all alone. It was like I couldn't leave because when I tried walking up the cobblestone stairs to freedom, I kept falling back like something or someone was pushing me. Yet no one was there. Another one, I don't know, I kept waking up but I wasn't really awake.. I was alone in my house and mother of lord when I woke up from all of these I was scared to death and I was glad it was just a dream. Last night actually, I had a dream about this doll I heard about in a Jessi Vee story time video. My mom said "It's a cute doll!" and then I said "BURN IT NOW, BURN IT!!" and my whole school was there. My house was haunted it was so weird and scary. My friend- lets call him Steve- from my class was there and was possessed. He murdered my friend-lets call her Ally. I then pretended to be possessed and was forced to murdering a girl.. I stabbed her in the back of the neck and she said "My stomach, my throat, I am dying." There was like my whole school there and we had to go on a bus to a grave yard to see a rich guy's daughter in her coffin or else we would die. I hid around the neighborhood and was safe- I then woke up. Well hope you can't sleep tonight!

Can someone help me? I was walking in the Pripyat city with a guide and a mutant appeared from nowhere ( the mutant is called the librarian by the locals). So we just stood still. The mutant was bashing his chest and roaring. After some time he left.The mutant had long arms, a face similar to a gorillas. So what should I do now?

I think it varies, i know it wouldn't link to Christianity because Christianity says you have afterlife with God in the clouds, normal ghosts are basically afterlife of earth. That's all i know.
There aren't ghosts, it's just people's imaginations and hoaxes. Suggestion is a powerful thing, tricks of the light and other strange coincidences are usually passed off as ghosts and people believe it because it's easier than believing a series of objects and shadows in a photo sort of look a bit like a person.
I've been to bachelor's grove with a few of my friends. One of the people in our group took a photo of me and my friend shotgunning our beers and there was a white mist on the left side of the photo near me.
No it looks much more like an old time-y doctor/healer/medicine man (what ever youd like to call it) during the times like the erra of the black plague, they use to wear bird like masks and filled the noses with herbs for reasons like preventing the smell of death and because they thought it would act like a filter.

One time I was in the break room at my work. For no particular reason, I took a picture of the empty break room. When I looked at it, there was a picture of a pretty, young blonde woman, sitting at her desk, looking up at something and smiling. Again, the room was empty, and there were no desks there. It freaked me out, so I deleted the picture immediately. When I told people, they reprimanded me for not saving the picture, but I still don't regret deleting it.

I remember seeing a ghost at the Air Museum in Cosford, England. My dad took a random photo of a plane's cockpit with a digital camera which, when printed out, showed a man wearing a wartime pilot uniform sitting in there. What made it weirder was that we forgot about the photo for about a year, and then when we found it again while going through some old stuff, the man wasn't visible anymore. And no, we weren't looking at a different photo by mistake. I know it was the same one because we had written "ghost photo" on the back.
Erlier today, I had everything turned on my phone, my tablet, my computers, my TV then, on my tablet I started watching videos about the supernatural and suddenly everything turned off and the lights were flickering *on off on off* and my tablet froze and ONLY the washing machine and the microwave turned on at 11:00 and my microwave started displaying numbers like 1638075 and the washing machine started saying "LOOK AT ME!" I didn't know two people with similar accents doing top ten lists was copying. We need to let the world know what only one person per country is allowed to do top ten lists.
I took a polaroid of a friend of mine when polaroids were still very common, but I had no idea how it worked, being just a kid and not having used a camera before. When the picture came out blank, I put it back in the camera to try again without knowing the picture needed a minute to develop. I took another picture on the same polaroid with the same result, and tried a third time. By this time, the thing had begun to develop a picture and I had an 'oh, duh' moment. The resulting picture had all three of my attempts on the picture, each re-try showing up fainter than the last atop the original. Hoaxing on a polaroid isn't impossible, just requires a little bit of dorkery and a quick reload or two.
I love how he keeps saying "The photographer said they never saw them when they were talking the picture"...yeah coz they cant lie about that right! the Space man pic is a bit suss...you can see by his right elbow that he has his back to the camera as its pointing towards it...so how can he be identified as a space man if you can see the front of him? Interesting pictures anyway
that "spaceman" pic has been proved to be fake. It was actually the mans wife with her back turned to the camera and the angle of the sun caused her to be overexposed.

Doesn't anyone find it suspicious that 95% of these images weren't captured by digital cameras? Ghosts seem to be in real need of an update.
Digital photos are so easy to alter that most people don't accept them as evidence. If it is on film and can be examined by a professional (now scarce as hen's teeth) they are considered better evidence.

I've never believed any of this until a couple weeks ago.. it was my uncle's weeding in a remote village and my cousins were taking pictures. In one of the photos was a super pale girl almost looked totally white, in a white gown standing right behind my uncle. It scared the shit out of us because we saw no such kid during the weeding, and my cousins and relatives there literally know nothing about computers, let alone the internet so nobody could have edited the photo.

I said sure, and he showed me an original print of what has become known as the Tulip Staircase ghost (#7). He told me his grandfather, who had just returned from England, had taken the picture on holidays there. I didn't know at the time that I was one of the first people to see this famous - and unexplained - ghost picture, and still have no rational explanation for it at all. But I can tell you I saw a regular glossy print decades before people started computer-altering photos for fun.

When I was a kid my headboard was a pressed formica. It looked like hundreds of evil little bearded faces watching and waiting for us to fall asleep.
Well that's true but so long as even a few of these photo's are genuine they are more than faces sometimes full humans figures that's not just a mind trick. These tell me one of 3 things 1) they are all fakes in one way or another 2) Simply ghosts are real 3) there are parallel universes that overlap our own with past future and alternate timelines and spaces and they are not ghosts but of humans just as living as ourselfs maybe we have been in pictures taken in another dimension...who knows?

Once when I was on holiday and I was on my own in the entertainment arcade-like place in the hotel and I had a digital camera on me. The last time I ever saw my great grandfather back 3 years ago was the worst day of my life I really miss him he used to be a really kind person and every time I go the bed he used to rub my back a lot and sit in the rocking chair near my door and now he is dead every time I go to bed my back feels so so good like someone is Rubing my back at night and the rocking chair after he used to leave it, it never rocked anymore now it rocks constantly and it's really creepy :( I hope God is taking care of him :) love you great-granddaddy!

I never believed in ghosts either, as some of you mention, thinking there was an explanation of some sort. Before my husband passed away in 1998, (he could talk and explain things a lot deeper than I had ever imagined, in my thinking and not wanting to believe in ghosts in fear they might (!) LOL), anyway he told me when he passed (he was a quadraplegic) that he would come back to prove it to me. I said, "Larry, don't you come back and scare me!" He assured me I would not be scared by him. Well, let me tell you, this non-believer is now a believer. There were several incidents that had to be him 'proving' it to me. Instead of being afraid - let's say I had a kind of creepy/comforting feeling. I could go into the several unexplained things that happened, but to make a long story short, after a year, I moved from CA to VA, and was setting up my bedroom; had the TV that was his, with his remote laying on the bed. The channels kept changing, and I would put it back on the channel I was watching. After a few times of this, I looked up and said, "Larry, the boys and I are okay now. We are back in Virginia and we will be alright." The channels never changed again, and that was the last sign I got from him. Ask the jeweler in CA that was cleaning his ring in the back room of the store, and came running out front, pale-faced, because Larry's ring kept trying to fly off the spindle of the machine; he would turn the toggle switch off, and he kept coming back on. He took me back there and showed me how the toggle switch worked, and said he was not cleaning that ring anymore. Ask me about how (we had phone line modems not cable then), my internet got disconnected while IRC chatting online with a friend about how much I missed him. After searching around and checking connections, the 25-foot modem wire had disconnected from the back of the computer (it was usually a tangled mess) and was wound in a perfect circle in the corner of the room 10 feet away, as if it just come out of it's package. No one was in the house except me. Ask me how my son, coming home from school, finding his terra-fish tank full of water and water perfectly clear. A tank my husband used to remind him over and over to add water and put the drops in the water that would clear it up. My son asked me if I cleaned his tank..... I had to go see what he was talking about. The tank was clear and full of water - no one at home except me.
When he was alive, Larry said he believed there were different dimensions, and sometimes those that have passed, accidently or on purpose, reach into our dimension and make contact.

This is a true story. I was on my computer and my brother decided to take a photo of me for no reason he took a few actually. After 2 days I looked at the pictures and found on my computer screen(which was on sleep) a person in the background. I do not know what it was to this day but it was creepy

The house was seriously haunted. Tvs turn on and off and volumes would go up and down. But it seems we have been followed regardless if we move. I believe it's my grand parents
One time I was in my attic and I saw a large black figure and it approached me and asked me if I wanted to buy some crack and I said "no" and he said "Oh, aiight, nigga" and then he walked away and then I snuffed him in the back of the head and I said "Get out of my house" and he kept calling me "nigga" so I beat him up some more and did the Dirty Deeds to him and I said "If you don't leave, I'm gonna call Dean Ambrose to beat you up" and then he said "Aiight, nigga" and then he left and I was happy so I watched Dubya Dubya EE after that to celebrate.

The scariest thing that happened to me was probably being paralyzed in my sleep.
You just feel like you wake up, and you feel safe.. like a glitch and not being able to exit a game. And when you realize you're in your dream, man it's just scary.
I was having a nightmare about a man in a panda suit. It was covered in bloody stains. There was this "dance circle" thing. I don't even know why though. The panda man held a knife, a large knife. There were colors, and you HAD to stay on a color- never the white tile ground. If anyone touched the white tile, they were brutally murdered and stabbed to death. Luckily, I survived. Then, it felt so real.. The panda dude was standing behind a door, and had a knife in the door knob. Someone- i'd say a 9-10 year old girl- went to open the door, and the panda guy stabbed her hand and murdered her.
Another time I experienced this was when I was going into a house- strangely from the stone roof above a dark alley in the city- with my friend. When we walked into the house, it was like a small dim lit cottage/hut. I went into the kitchen and my friend was in the living room. I saw a black shadow developing RIGHT in front of my floating.. it had about 6 arms and was just growing, my friend escaped first.. I made it out. Then, it went black. I was in a basement with clothing everywhere and the TV was glowing blue. It was dark and I was all alone. It was like I couldn't leave because when I tried walking up the cobblestone stairs to freedom, I kept falling back like something or someone was pushing me. Yet no one was there.
Another one, I don't know, I kept waking up but I wasn't really awake.. I was alone in my house and mother of lord when I woke up from all of these I was scared to death and I was glad it was just a dream.
Last night actually, I had a dream about this doll I heard about in a Jessi Vee story time video. My mom said "It's a cute doll!" and then I said "BURN IT NOW, BURN IT!!" and my whole school was there. My house was haunted it was so weird and scary. My friend- lets call him Steve- from my class was there and was possessed. He murdered my friend-lets call her Ally. I then pretended to be possessed and was forced to murdering a girl.. I stabbed her in the back of the neck and she said "My stomach, my throat, I am dying." There was like my whole school there and we had to go on a bus to a grave yard to see a rich guy's daughter in her coffin or else we would die. I hid around the neighborhood and was safe- I then woke up.

There aren't ghosts, it's just people's imaginations and hoaxes. Suggestion is a powerful thing, tricks of the light and other strange coincidences are usually passed off as ghosts and people believe it because it's easier than believing a series of objects and shadows in a photo sort of look a bit like a person.

One time I was in the break room at my work. For no particular reason, I took a picture of the empty break room. When I looked at it, there was a picture of a pretty, young blonde woman, sitting at her desk, looking up at something and smiling. Again, the room was empty, and there were no desks there. It freaked me out, so I deleted the picture immediately. When I told people, they reprimanded me for not saving the picture, but I still don't regret deleting it.

I remember seeing a ghost at the Air Museum in Cosford, England. My dad took a random photo of a plane's cockpit with a digital camera which, when printed out, showed a man wearing a wartime pilot uniform sitting in there. What made it weirder was that we forgot about the photo for about a year, and then when we found it again while going through some old stuff, the man wasn't visible anymore.
And no, we weren't looking at a different photo by mistake. I know it was the same one because we had written "ghost photo" on the back.
Erlier today, I had everything turned on my phone, my tablet, my computers, my TV then, on my tablet I started watching videos about the supernatural and suddenly everything turned off and the lights were flickering *on off on off* and my tablet froze and ONLY the washing machine and the microwave turned on at 11:00 and my microwave started displaying numbers like 1638075 and the washing machine started saying "LOOK AT ME!" "I'M RIGHT HERE!" and I was all alone everyone was sleeping so I was so scared and I didn't know what was happening! So I turned on the kitchen lights and everything went back on!I turned off the kitchen lights and I saw a figure, a reddish figure, I was so scared!

I took a polaroid of a friend of mine when polaroids were still very common, but I had no idea how it worked, being just a kid and not having used a camera before. When the picture came out blank, I put it back in the camera to try again without knowing the picture needed a minute to develop. I took another picture on the same polaroid with the same result, and tried a third time. By this time, the thing had begun to develop a picture and I had an 'oh, duh' moment. The resulting picture had all three of my attempts on the picture, each re-try showing up fainter than the last atop the original. Hoaxing on a polaroid isn't impossible, just requires a little bit of dorkery and a quick reload or two.
I love how he keeps saying "The photographer said they never saw them when they were talking the picture"...yeah coz they cant lie about that right! the Space man pic is a bit suss...you can see by his right elbow that he has his back to the camera as its pointing towards it...so how can he be identified as a space man if you can see the front of him? Interesting pictures anyway
that "spaceman" pic has been proved to be fake. It was actually the mans wife with her back turned to the camera and the angle of the sun caused her to be overexposed.
