It’s not about how he looks to others, even if he is a 0/10 to everyone, he must be attractive TO YOU! Looks will definitely still matter after a few months of marriage, I’m not sure who advised you that. May Allah guide you to that which is right. Pray loads of istikhara. Don’t oppress yourself and him.
