At my best I would have struggled running 5k at these guys pace, but the reality is that a 2:09 is probably going to be a full minute off a medal. Again I hope I am wrong, and I will be pulling hard for all 3 American men, but my expectations are not up there with this team.
2:07 is mantzs best time and that was in Chicago. Here’s got almost a year of training from then til Paris to get down to a 2:05-2:06 range which will put him in contention
