  • Some economists are suggesting that cashed-up Aussies should curb their discretionary spending in order to force a recession and crush inflation, but is it fair to expect Australia's homeowner "have-lots" to close their wallets?

You got what you voted for, - the two party system - I could couldn't believe people voted the same puppets back after the lock- downs , lies , police beatings , and forced v........ People still don't know and don't understand the consequences of it . The 300 bil. submarine contract, to be ready to fight China ? ordering exta missiles sending billion to Ukraine and much much more. So it's a payback time and it's us the voters who will suffer .

Central bank working precisely as intended, step 1: enforce the use of State controlled currency, step 2: debase the hell out of said currency

What's new? Paul Keating used the same "recession Australia has to have" tactic decades ago!

Australia is in recession, restaurants are empty, construction is grinding to a halt and grocery prices are through the roof.

@@laco3128 lol… 17% on 120,000 or less is not the same as 4 - 5% on 600,000 or more. Basic math my guy. Also he’s just awful in general not necessarily because of his stance on this. Although arguably he is well out of touch based on this opinion and I’m assuming you are the same
