Haha yeah, some stuff does make my teeth itch! I need to do another video of this sometime as it's far, far easier than the bloody chore I've mad eit look with this video! Took us a week or so to nail it but we have consistently excellent coffee with minimal fuss now. Decent machine!
My machines turning up today and i chose this because i hoped it wouldnt make as much mess as my old machine the delonghi micalite or something like that, having seen this it doesnt look good lol.
@@Codbotherer dang i dont blame you, i kinda got the impression decent coffee machines for a reasonable price dont exist anymore, especially when it comes to have an adjustable steam valve.
Been looking at these Breville machines and wasn’t sure on this or one of those sparkly Sage machines… for 300 quid more though it doesn’t seem justified. Looks like the Breville is on my xmas list 👍🏼
Al was also looking at the sage but it sold out - her research indicated that there wasn't a huge difference in quality and functionally. She recommends coffee kev (something like that) on TH-cam. Since making this video we've got all our settings dialled in and experimented with beans and can now make a great coffee quickly. Not as quick as a Tassimo but this is a better drink.
@@Codbotherer Lol i just realised there is no control and the thing i thought was the steam adjustor was the tamper...... im sure theyre doing that on purpose lol.
If your trying to learn to use this machine definitely don't watch this, this guy is an animal lol You need to purge the milk wand before and after use or you'll block it up, and make sure the portafilter is clean going into the group head

We've given up on it and bought some big expensive thing where we just press one button and come back in a bit now
