Whether you hate EV's or not, the 2022 Hummer EV is insane!
It is I can’t hate, but it’s PRICE is also INSANE….
I think an EV is ok as long it’s a car you like, not buying EV because some say it’s better, you should and bla-bla-bla … I think this Hummer is amazing, at least it looks like it
I’m fine with EVs being around it’s only the cult that bothers me and face it, whichever brand is your favorite in the coming years it will sell EVs, so better get used to it

Have you seen all the trolling from TFL lately on this truck? It’s weird to see them play so heavy into politics. I fell in love with that channel years ago because of the old style, and it’s odd because I find myself liking this style (your style) so much more refreshing nowadays! Keep up the great work! Us GM supporters/owners/fans really appreciate all of the coverage and info!

One feature everyone forgets would be great to see some testing is the bi-directional charging feature. We live on a farm and the power goes out all the time. It will be an immense help to have the power to the house backed by Hummer battery pack. Also when they complete the home Ultium battery packs for sale.

If you reserved an Edition 1 you can contact your dealer and they can check the status on it for you.
I Have a Hummer EV 2 on order I know I'll be missing some of the features that you have but I still can't wait and watching these videos just increases my excitement!!
Nice Brian, I hope you enjoy it. When i saw the my first one up close and personal at Parkway GMC here in CA I was speechless. I would love to have one. As for vanity plates. Go with O SHUSH....lol How do you like the super cruise?
Super Cruise has been pretty good, but it's not something I personally think I'll use that often. I just don't really know what to do with my hands if they're not steering the truck. Hands free I tend to just want to scroll on my phone, and that's not a habit I need to make any worse than it already is. It's definitely fun to demo it to people, and their reactions when it changes lanes on its own is pretty funny. So far though the truck how completely blown my expectations away. I know 90% of my audience on here hates EV's, but I think once more people have the chance to try one out they'll understand they hype much like I did.

i think its awsome its the software updates that are terrifyig to me but im thinking that wont just be an ev problem seeing how te newr non ev trucks seem to have a similer setup on the interier
Even ICE vehicles are essentially big computers these days, they have been for awhile now. The software and computer controls everything. The systems are sure to have some glitches here and there, but I’m confident those will be ironed out over time.

Evs are extremely fun to drive. Don't knock them till you have driven one. Same as you, I care about performance. Not the noise.
I should have mentioned it, but one thing that surprised me quite a bit....the sound it makes. There's a subwoofer that simulates engine feel inside the cabin as well as sounds that increase and decrease with your right foot. Now this is certainly something I would have loved to make fun of before actually experiencing it for myself. If nobody told you it was "fake" you'd never know. It feels that authentic.

Unfortunately, we have to "go green" in more ways than one. It's the only way to enjoy this performance without paying even MORE money on your electric bill after just having paid $100k+ on the vehicle itself. Yes, I'm talking about solar panels. They make sense for someone with a "joule guzzler" truck!

I have read that the EV Silverado will have the same platform as far as the EV and software. I would like to trade in my 2022 Silverado High Country I just bought in a few years for the EV Silverado after it is de-bugged.

It’s def a cool truck. Cost is a hard pill to swallow. Does it fit in garage to charge?
It fits in my 1 car….just barley haha but it fits. Price is rough, and I certainly wouldn’t have bought it if not for TH-cam, and being able to have it at MSRP. I’m sure it will hold its value for awhile considering they’re still selling for 180k+ in the aftermarket.

All the Edition 1 trucks are "Interstellar white" which is basically Summit White lol but after the Edition 1's are all done being built they will come in other colors.
I don’t think EV’s are any better on the environment than an iCE vehicle. From the open pit mining for the minerals to make the batteries to the disposal of said batteries and then everything in between. Charging is another thing to consider the strain on an already fragile infrastructure. Now take into the latest development in Florida with these EV’s catching fire after being caught in hurricane Ian. I don’t believe the technological development is there yet.

I have a good full time job as the marketing director for the dealership, I have this TH-cam channel, I run a small e-commerce company, I flip collectibles on eBay here and there, I do freelance media and marketing work, I stay out of debt, and I invest all of my extra money. All I really do is work, but I enjoy it.
The cost is out of reach for the masses. 😢

I bounced on my friends Lamborghini from a dig in this thing over the weekend. I’m happy with the 1000hp EV setup lol it makes my Sierra feel so outdated.

@@PhillyDee215 it’s different, but as someone who loves me some V8 power….I can’t stop smiling. It practically rips the front wheels off the ground when you mash the gas. I’ve handed the keys to a bunch of my friends and every one of them has loved it. It has simulated sound inside the cab, subwoofer included….so it’s not silent, and it’s something I would for sure have made fun of before experiencing it first hand. It fools my brain 100% into believing it’s genuine sound and feedback from the engine. I honestly can’t say enough good things about it. The instant throttle response, the lower center of gravity, the torque, the entire driving experience is just phenomenal. I was wrong about EV’s, (this one at least) and I’m cool with admitting it.
@@BrianMello I totally agree with u....its just the guys that are swearing this EV stuff is better. The imitation of exhaust sound is cool but its just that...imitation🤦♂️now the torque these electric motors have are know joke but that alone won't take the desire away of a V8 and definitely not a Cammed one. Manufacturers are gonna try everything to get the consumers to cross over to EV.....which is inevitable at some point
@@PhillyDee215 the only thing better about the V8 is the sound and towing capability. That’s pretty much it. Now I love me some ICE engines, especially boosted ones. I always will….but the EV platform makes more power, has instant torque, better throttle response, and has better handling due to the lower center of gravity. Oh, and I haven’t touch the brake pedal in days because of one pedal driving. The e motors slow the truck down when you let off the throttle and regenerate battery charge. Drive one, and you’ll get it instantly…just like I did.
