I got my daith pierced in South Korea and it looked how yours did. Pierced in the wrong spot, but mine was pierced with a curved barbell. Had to remove it after a month, it was bumpy and angry. This was a year ago, I hope to get it repierced soon 😄
If you look at the piercing being performed you can see she has a very uniquely shaped daith. I initially thought it was shallow too but I think the placement is because of her anatomy
You’re actually not suppose to clean it with buds or cotton balls because little threads get left and infect it. Also cleaning it with a non-fragrance bar soaps helps me a lot!
Thinking about getting my daith pierced soon but I'm nervous about the healing process haha how do you recommend cleaning it without using buds or cotton balls?
Mine was pierced really shallow like this the first time after about a year it started migrating and had to be taken out and had to have it repierced. Also keloids don't go away that would be an irritation bump.
girl it's the wrong place that piercing looks too shallow i suggest you to remove it and wait for it to heal then get it pierced again properly i have the same issue and i will get it repierced
Also ur conch has bumps cuz u have hoop be4 done healing. If u still have bumps u should try a post instead and see if u can get rid of em And since ur daith is half as deep as it should be, and ur conch has a hoop while healing, u should look into other piercers if uve gone to same person for those :)
Pierced wayyyy too shallow and the diameter of the ring is way too small. Stuffing your ears like that also puts extra pressure on the piercing which is not good at all.
You shouldn’t have cleaned it right away and you definitely shouldn’t have touched it or popped it don’t move it when u clean it don’t play with piercings ever
ahhh!! good luck that’s so exciting! just make sure you don’t sleep on that side for a long time. or get a travel pillow and sleep with your ear in the hole lol
It went pretty well, the daith didn't hurt whatsoever, the helix did sting a little bit, they, I experienced some pain the next 24/48 hours, but it all went away after that. I managed to sleep on my ear 2 weeks after, but I prefer not to,just so it can heal better and faster.. It's been a month now and I'm experiencing 0 pain, I would say it was overall a very good experience. You will experience some itchiness if you don't clean em well. Just clean em daily with some warm salted water, don't sleep on em and don't touch em!!! YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY GET EM! Keep me updated and if you have any questions please don't hesitate 😊🥰
It doesn't look so good😅 I'm not an expert, but I have heard that it's best to get pierced with a bar also because of the weight and that it then has less chances of infection or migration. Then the ring looks awesome😀 I'd also want more earpiercings and the daith is one of my favorites. But when I look in the mirror, I can't see the place in my ear where it would be pierced😅
Thomas Latomate the place i went to only pierces daiths with rings. they told me that the ring allows a lot of room for swelling which is definitely good for me since mine swelled a lot lol. i also prefer the look of rings haha so i guess it was good that i went to this piercer. i was definitely concerned about migration but i don’t think it’s moved at all which is definitely a good thing! i highly recommend getting this piercing since it’s so cute and works really well with the anatomy of the ear:)
@@kathleenmulready6363 Ok, I'll try to make some research about it then😀Did you also get your conch pierced with a ring or was it with a bar? Around 15:40, how did you see what you were doing? Were you filming? Because if you were just looking in the mirror you can't see much😅 Yeah, I'd like to get this piercing, but I'd like to be able to see it when looking in the mirror at least😅Then I'd also like a tragus and conch😀
Thomas Latomate i did get my conch pierced with a ring. i went to a different place for that one and they gave me the choice between a bar and a ring. it’s definitely recommended to get it pierced with a bar but i figured a ring would be fine. also it is pretty difficult to see what’s going on with the daith piercing just because of where it’s placed but that doesn’t really bother me that much. i used a mirror at that point in the video and i could see it a little easier.
@@kathleenmulready6363 Yeah, for the conch at least and probably the tragus I'd choose a bar even if I love the look with the hoops😂 For the daith it looks like it's protected even when we sleep on it😀 Hopefully I won't have to wait too long before I get them!
They actually recommend rings for this one. It's the only one they do. Curved barbells actually move more than rings do in this specific piercing. You can ask a piercer if u don't believe me 😎
that’s not true. bumps are formed due to irritation not infection. and irritation is due to the piercing being played with during healing (e,g “cleaning” too aggressively) or from catching it on something. these irritation bumps are healed with saline. you also shouldn’t be killing any bacteria because there shouldn’t be any bacteria in the first place. don’t let dirty things near your piercing and it will stay clean.
Stop poking it, you did more damage than good, you could have done sea salt soaks just like what you did with the Cotten ball but don’t put it on the cotton just leave it in a mug or any cup and stick you’re ear in there and leave it there for 7-10 min.
Use chlorexidine antiseptic spray then wash it with saline dry and put cipro and. Dexamethasone eye drops to avoid residue from creams Perfect healing with that.
For non piercers giving advice, don’t. You can’t pierce this with a straight barbell or a post… so circular barbells are the only option. Secondly, this piercing is anatomy dependent. I’ve turned people down for this piercing just because they didn’t have the anatomy for it or I felt like it wouldn’t heal properly and will then recommend a different piercing. Hers just shouldn’t have been pierced. He took her money knowing she wasn’t a good candidate for it. I can’t stand greedy tattoo artists and piercers that know a job isn’t for them but take it anyway for the money.
young one, that wasn't pierced deep enough. If you're still having problems with the daith, remove, recover and re-pierce. goodluck
“young one” get a grip you’re not yoda
The daith is far to out, it could easily migrate

@@victoriaann3587hii u can fill a little cup with saline solution and hold it for a couple muinetes it worked with mine
cotton buds are fine. leaving little threads is just paranoia. soap is terrible!! pre-made saline solution is best

I’m so sad I just got my daith pierced yesterday and it looks so bad. I paid $55 just for her to fuck up my ear basically.

Watching the aftercare ur piercer also gave bad info :( sorry im trying to help not nitpick. Pls find a new piercer
Lastly. U ask if its cute. Theyre one of my fav 3 ear piercings!
Pierced wayyyy too shallow and the diameter of the ring is way too small. Stuffing your ears like that also puts extra pressure on the piercing which is not good at all.
Only use the sea salt soaks and it go away and clear up. After 2 weeks slowly
You shouldn’t have cleaned it right away and you definitely shouldn’t have touched it or popped it don’t move it when u clean it don’t play with piercings ever
98% of infections are caused by clients doing this shit. Leave your piercing alone. Go to a reputable place.
Curious if you still have this in it wasnt pierced properly its way too shallow an the ring isnt large enough for swelling
I'm planning on getting my first daith and helix on the same ear tomorrow
I'm kinda scared now 😬😬

Saline alone does not work to kill bacteria that forms the bumps and gets infected, remember is an open. Wound and prone to infection

Your* and during any heal process you aren’t allowed to have hoops (talkin about the conch piercing), unless it was your daith
I got my daith December 26, 2021. So far so good. I didn't get a ring. That was an infection you got.
Use chlorexidine antiseptic spray then wash it with saline dry and put cipro and. Dexamethasone eye drops to avoid residue from creams Perfect healing with that.
way too much. saline solution on its own is best
I know this is WAAAY after the fact, but it may help someone out there.
To get a good look at your daith piercing, use your phone to take a photo.
Also your conch shouldn't have a ring during the healing stages. You should change it to a stud.
Yea that isn't deep enough ... might grow out but it should be like twice as deep
nooo you shouldnt pop it
hahaha i know!!! i just HAD to do it lol
Its SUPER cute, but I feel it’s a little too far back. I feel like it going to reject, but I could be wrong.

why shouldn't hers be pierced actually? I don't really get it, can someone explain 🥲
It doesn’t work
I think the reason it got infected was because it was slightly in the wrong place and it’s been fiddled with too much
10% tip would make it 55 not 60. yikes
oh no :(
